Who says you have to leave Decatur to find great food?Downtown has some nice spots including Taproot on Merchant.Check out their 8oz filet mignon! Delicious..and the hearty Chicken Primavera soup is also quite good..... except for the overabundance of PEAS!! Lol...like a third grader, I had to pick those babies out so that I could enjoy the rest of the soup!Thanks for the great service Jim and Allie !Cmon back to downtown Decatur for an evening out!...

Would absolutely recommend for drinks and appetizers,The service the drinks and the atmosphere were amazing everything was great until the food arrived unfortunately, for the flavor and portion very over priced I ordered the pasta with Alfredo it tasted like it came from a TV dinner the sauce was like water in flavor and appearance my husband's steak was "ok" but the sides were flavorless these comments were echoed by all 10 people in our party

Drinks were great and made confidently, like a manhattan, old fashioned, and perfect pear. The bottled Stella was a bit warm. Burger was good and hot and not dry. Chips for the crab bacon dip were excellent, however the dip itself was unenjoyable. The french onion soup was overfilled with mushy bread and the cheese was not browned on top, but the flavor of the broth was good. The beer cheese soup wasn't my favorite, by my family liked it.

Otherwise there are a variety of free parking options within 2-3 blocksKid-friendliness: They have a kid friendly menu, but I would feel awkward bringing very small kids. The atmosphere is much more oriented to upscale (for Decatur) restaurant experience for small intimate groups.
