I have passed by this place for years and finally stopped by. Went with a gyro sandwich from the drive thru. The pita was soft, crispy and warm. The gyro meat was just right, at least for me. Cut very thin and was very tender. Lots of it and delish. I will be back to try their other food. Service from the drive thru was good. It does take a few minutes as the sandwich was cooked when ordered.
I entered a large clean room with a bit of age on it and was greeted by a busy but friendly lady at the register. She was full of personality, I like her. There's a bit of a wait for your food but everything was cooked to order and there was only one guy back there.While I waited I looked around. Prices are pretty good. I have been coming Johnny's Place since they were in Park Ridge. I used to come there for lunch every day or every other day. Always friendly and pleasant atmosphere. The food is very delicious. John puts his heart in all the customers.
