“A great bar with even better food! Rose was a phenomenal server and had our food out quick even on a Friday night!Parking: Parking right out front is hard, but there’s a free garage less than 5 minutes walking from the restaurant.Wheelchair accessibility: All thresholds are easily navigated with a wheelchair. The front door does not have an automatic opener.“
“The female Bartender with the short cute hair (I foolishly did not ask her name), greeted us right away. I tried the Sunday xl bloody Mary special with a slider and it was fantastic. I had another cocktail along with a few of the appetizers and enjoyed the experience. The food was good overall but id say to remember that as a bar restaurant, their best dishes are the usual bar staples: Buffalo dip, burgers... The drinks from the bartender were delicious and beautifully garnished. I tried one from the great recommending on the back of the menu under a category called "fun drinks" - I'm so glad i did.Don't forget to check out their events and grab yourself some popcorn from their machine. Lovely time, thanks!Parking: If you go when it's not so busy there is no problem with parking but if you go when it's a really busy night you may have to look into the parking lot next door and I'm not sure if you are allowed to park there not as a customer“
“I just had the best chicken kabob platter I've ever had here. Delicious tender chicken with onions and green pepper. This place is a neighborhood favorite of ours. They make a great cheeseburger, too. We usually phone in our order and pick it up--they're always fast.“
“Had the beef with sweet. Best sweet peppers I've ever had on the beef! Beef itself was juicy, a good level of spice, and just about perfect! The inside of is just as described in other reviews, but I care about the product in a place like this!“
“I had my wedding shower here in their private section of the restaurant. We had around 45 guests and it was amazing. The staff were amazing, especially Andrea and Tricia, the food was great and the bloody Mary’s were so tasty! Highly recommend having your private event here!“
“While the renovations have been nice and still in progress, what makes me sad is the portion reductions. I am still a fan of the country fried steak taste despite its size reduction and more than 1/3 less of tater tots. At least the service still comes with a smile, but I'm not sure how loyal the other customers will remain. I'll make sure to take another pic of my next country fried steak plate to show the difference in comparison.“
“Best breakfast place I’ve discovered in awhile. Good sized menu, but not overwhelming. Great coffee which is always a place. And service is a 10/10.Wheelchair accessibility: Lady in a wheelchair rolled right in and the had her table ready and waiting!“
“Best customer service I’ve probably ever had. Decided to go on a lunch date with my 3 very young children. My 2 year old must have eaten too fast and got sick all over herself, me, and the table. One of the workers ran over to help and told me to not worry about a thing. She even helped clean up my 2 year old. The manager came over and was so incredibly sweet and extremely helpful as well. Even asked what my favorite, my kids favorite ice cream was and packed up a bunch of pints on the house! I’m not sure that I’ve experienced customer care even close to this - so unbelievably grateful for the amazing staff here.“
“My third time at Brick House Tavern and Tap and my favorite so far! Nico was our server and was very attentive and joked around with us the entire dinner. The food was very delicious and I recommend the ultimate brownie to end the meal. I will be back!“
“This past weekend, I held an basketball watching event at Another Round, and it was an excellent experience. Natalie did an amazing job serving our food and drinks. The food was delicious, and the space was great for all of my guests.I thank Sam for setting everything up for me. I will hold another event at Another Round!“
“Met a friend in Downtown Downers Grove and happened upon this family owned Mexican restaurant that was open on a Sunday. I tried a steak taco at the suggestion of the person taking my order. It was very tasty. The carnitas one was good too. The atmosphere in the dining room is pleasant and cozy. The woman working that day brought us some warm chips and salsa to enjoy with our meal. The restaurant business can be tough so it is good to see a family owned place providing good food, service and a change of pace from the typical chain experience. These are the kind of little gem places that I appreciate having in downtown Downers Grove. I suggest that they are worth checking out!“
“Wow what a fun place ! I will definitely be going back . There are so many fun activities at the bar including sand volleyball , darts , corn hole, and billiards, and giant jenga . A very large space and 2 full bars.! I didn't try the food but had a great selection of drinks“
“Still a BBQ Mission fan but this one comes close!Lovely establishment featuring a Tuesdays Rib Special . Great place for fundraising ! We loved the Brisket which is moist and has a bit of delicious fat, the pulled pork is not dry but flavorful and turkey slices are just ok -maybe lacking flavor which can be dressed up with a choice of sauce. The two slices of bread could be replaced by the traditional corn bread .The coleslaw was freshly made and yum! We found the mac & cheese to be bland and is a surprise because other patrons complained about this item and feedback didn’t seem to help! The triple chocolate cake is tasty but not moist enough so it crumbles. We paid $34 and was enough for two persons.Very pleasant staff will return on Tuesdays !“
“Late dinner on a Monday night. Got served fast, had ribs dinner and a steak dinner. Salad that comes with dinner is not fancy, but good portion. Baked bread was excellent. The ribs were fall off the bone done and the steak was done perfectly. Took the desserts home.“
“The crew at the downers grove Cooper’s Hawk is top Notch! Miss Alison the manager on duty and Miss Michelle our server and her server assistant were excellent totally recommend! The food was also perfect, just the right temperature and cooled Perfect! Can’t wait till next time we visit.“
“Teddy’s is our favorite local spot with some of the best Chicago staples! Great hot dogs, beef sandwiches, and pepper and egg sandwiches during lent! Great daily soups as well! We love the Italian ice year round too! Iota a great family owned spot and we keep coming back!“
“I appreciate having a WFF takeout location closer than the main Romeoville location. Service here was very friendly. The food is exactly like the food at their other locations, so thumbs up for consistency. Their chicken is among my favorite because it resembles the way my mom and grandma used to make it. They fry it and give it to you so it's not sitting on a warming rack like a lot of other places do, so even though I had about a 30 minute drive home it was still warm and crispy.“
“We love Emmett's! Great beer selection and the food is always so good. We like the vibe of the bar. We enjoy stopping in for a drink and an appetizer (I recommend the lettuce wraps). Definitely worth stopping in when visiting downtown downers grove!“
“This Red Lobster is one of the nicest, most friendliest, & cleanest Red Lobster locations I have ever had the pleasure of dining in! The hostess we had was very nice & sweet & she put us in a nice seating area near the window! Our waiter, Santos was cool & so nice! Our food was hot & ready, too!I really enjoyed eating here & if I ever come back to Downer's Grove, I will come back here (hopefully)! ????❤️“
“Had problems with kiosk payment system - twice. First, at our booth. Our server couldn't get the device to work, then tried another before getting a printed copy of the bill and processing it the old-fashioned way. Then, we went to the take-out desk where kiosks are also used to get some gift cards and the only kiosk had to have a battery change and reboot to process our purchase. These payment issues added ~20 minutes to our experience.“
“The menu at Cadence has variety and you can try many things due to their small plates and shareables. The cocktail menu and draft list are also solid. The wild boar empanadas were the favorite of our meal although everything we tried was tasty (chicken and waffles, corn risotto, short rib buns, churros for dessert). Service was attentive and friendly as well.Update from 2024: Went for dinner again tonight and everything was consistent. We enjoyed our drinks, apps and dinner! We had the short rib empanadas, the chimichurri steak and the duck breast special.“
