I enjoy that kind of atmosphere in a Thai restaurant because it helps me feel like I’m getting the real article- I am not into a place that looks super fancy and serves small portions that have a lot of sugar in them. Thai food here was ample and spicy! Nathan’s Noodles serves authentic Thai food- all of the classics- and has been around a while in Elmhurst. Most of the customers order take out and don’t dine in, but they may have just been the time we were there. There was a steady stream of customers and delivery drivers picking up orders, so that’s always a good thing! The food was delicious and the portions were large. “This is our go-to takeout spot. They have plenty of vegan and gluten free options. The massaman curry and basil fried rice are my personal favorites. You can tell they use fresh ingredients and spices. I've had the chive dumplings, fried tofu, veggie egg roll, cucumber salad. (All marked vegan on the menu which I highly appreciate). The panang curry was waaaay too spicy for me so I'm sticking with massaman. I haven't dined in but whenever I pick up take out, the staff is super friendly and the restaurant has a peaceful atmosphere.“

“We came here once before. This visit was during lunch. We didn’t know they had a lunch special starting at $9.95 depending on the protein you select. This is one of the most delicious Thai food restaurants I visited and I had visited many. We ordered the pekimao with beef and the of Thai with chicken. Everything was done very nicely with flavor and not over cooked. The drunken noodle was a little spicy but within my tolerance. They also add small appetizers such as egg rolls and fried tofu which makes the meal even more worth paying. Everything was great. I wish they would update their floors but other than that it was great!“
“Real Thai is the best authentic Thai food in the Chicagoland area. They have a secret Thai menu that offers items not found elsewhere. The beef tendon soup is unmatched anywhere. The tendon is like eating bone marrow, extraordinarily tender. Careful on the heat scale, 4 or 5 is pretty spicy and I make me own chilli oil with Thai red chili peppers. Give this place a try. You won't be disappointed.“
“Some of the best Thai food I have had in awhile. When I am sick, I want some spicy Thai herbs to knock out a virus and this restaurant delivered. Got Covid and all I craved was Thai food. It was soothing, comforting and made me feel better. Staff were so pleasant to work with on the phone and very accommodating. Driver respected my no contact delivery request. The Tom Khar soup was phenomenal - creamy, delicious and all the right spices. Green curry was soothing and smooth. Food was clean and fresh. It was so good I ordered from here 3 times in 1 week while I was sick because that is all I wanted. My sister is now hooked on this place because when she got sick I ordered her what I had and it made her feel better as well. Some places use a lower quality shrimp from what I’ve seen but the shrimp here is phenomenal! Especially in the fried rice, that dish was so good. I'm not saying they are cheap but affordable most definitely. Your getting a premium meal each time that has love to it.
