Best French fries ever!! Good soup. Very sad to hear that they will close soon

We arrived 65 minutes before their posted closing time. I ordered fried chicken, all dark meat, and the waitress said that it would take 20 minutes and I said that was fine. Then she said she needed to check with the kitchen to see if they would cook it this close to closing??? Well they said yes so we happily waited l. My husbands food came out and after a bit a plate of white meat chicken arrived, not what I ordered. The waitress tried to say it was my fault and I didn’t order dark meat but then she said it was the cook’s fault because they always cook dark meat unless it is stated specifically white on the ticket. They offered to cook the proper order but it would be another 20 minutes and by this time my husband had finished his meal. They clearly wanted us to leave so we left and I got no lunch. Very disappointing experience!

Stopped to eat there on Sat after the town wide garage sales. My wife and I both ordered hamburgers. They were supposed to come with French fries and soup. I asked what the soup was and was told there was no soup. I asked if there would be an adjustment in the price of our orders and was told no. I said you mean we are only getting 2/3rds of the order but still have to pay full price, the waiter said yes. Then my wife asked for cheese fries. Instead of giving her the cheese in place of the soup on the order we were charged extra for it. The waiter said they have not had soup since the pandemic started. That was 2 years ago and they can't make the change to there menu? The hamburger and fries was almost 10.00. The fries were so greasy it was running on my plate and the hamburger patty was cooked till it was as dry bas cardboard. While my wife was paying the bill I visited the restroom, it was in a hall with no light and a drop of about 4 in in the floor that I tripped on. Then ended up in the ladies room since I did not see any signs due no lights. I only know because my wife came in after me, glad at least it was her. We will never eat there again.

Friendly staff. Good variety. Cute atmosphere.The benches in the booths are not very comfortable to sit on, but for the short stay you'll be there it is fine and tolerable.Everything was great. I ordered a philly cheese steak and for the Midwest take on the classic staple of philly it was really good.Prices are great for the quality and quantity you receive.Breakfast items are served all day.Salad was fresh. The lettuce was washed before being placed on the plate for our salads.I highly recommend going here.
