“Seemingly innocuous facade outside but once you walk into the unassuming front entrance it's a pleasant surprise. We didn't eat and it was our first experience. We stopped by out of curiousity and a night cap- coupled with a little slot action. The bartender was pretty great and the bar was clean, well lit & maintained. The mixed drink my partner got was affordable and the PBR was cold. Overall, I can't wait to support this unique, lo al, popular business in the future. Being a chef, I'm VERY curious about the food so we'll definitely be back for that!!!”

“Brought my two sons for my oldest sons birthday and we had a really good time. We played for an hour and I was shocked at how fast it went. We played multiple different games and really enjoyed tic tac toe. The fun part about that is you can steal your opponents spot. So if they have an X in a spot, and you hit it, it goes blank. Hit it again and your O appears. Fun stuff.”

“Really nice spot to grab lunch. Service was amazing. Very cheery and great spirited wait staff. Veggie Sandwich, Mushroom Asparagus soup and of course the key lime pie was very delicious. The ambience was great. Highly recommend coming here for a bite if you are visiting Alton.”

“Excellent food and service. Best Italian in the neighborhood. Would have been 5 stars but they really need some type of window covering. It was around 5:30 or so and the sun was beating in my side of the tables eyes. You seriously couldn't see anything. Other than that, which lasted about 45 minutes, the place was perfect.”

“This is a mom & pop type diner. Nice blues and oldies music playing. Self-serve coffee area. I ordered waffles, scrambled eggs, bacon & extra bacon. Everything was good, but my bacon was cooked a little too hard where it crumbled up.We also ordered hashbrowns, turkey sausage and cream of wheat. Great customer service, friendly people and clean.”

“I said hi and got no response from a fellow customer. The counter person seemed business like but not welcoming. The building is unique and spacious. I did not see electrical outets readily available to charge phones or run laptops. It seem like a chic place to take your high school sweet heart, write about the good old days of steam boats or read a good novel. Not like your Starbuck for computers,tablet,iphones.... The spacious space is well lit and great for a couple of good friends to meet or people who know each other. Food came quick, but had to go to counter for butter and the such. Food was tasty and the rest of our interactions with the person who delivered the food and the young lady who handed me butter were redeemingly friendlier. There area for kids to play is close to the door well away from the majority of seating option.”

“It was very slow. Although the shop always has 10-20 customers, with 5 employees dishing all the orders out.Parking: The entire building is surrounded with plenty of parking.”

“Oriental Spoon is my favorite restraunt! Their meals are not only delicious, there's a great variety to choose from. I've almost ordered every item on their menu over the years that I've eaten here and every item is fantastic. Mostly I've ordered take out recently since I live farther away, but in the past dined here as well. My only wish is that they have more locations. Cannot recommend them enough!”

“Shivers is an amazing local staple, I have never had a bad experience here. My personal favorite items are the Italian cream sodas, the cows (specifically root beer), and of course the concretes (I like vanilla with marshmallow fluff, banana, and sprinkles.)”

“The Best Smoked Meat Around!! Every Friday my husband and I make a trip from Spanish Lake and come see Jared at Dam-it-Joe’s. I know that every time, no matter what I order, it’s on key and so f’@k!n delicious!! My favorite ? I recommend that you come back and try everything they have to offer! “Food was absolutely delicious! The wings are huge and priced right (we had breaded with mango habanero sauce). Garlic cheese curds are amazing. We also tried the Trash Can Dump. Excellent!! Food is homemade which is huge plus for me. Fast Eddies definitely takes the backseat here. Junkyard has way better food at much better pricing. .Great signature cocktails too. I recommend the Power Steering Fluid and The Mechanic. The owner was extremely attentive and works hard to keep customers happy.We will definitely be back!”

“Went to breakfast and had a traditional diner meal. Ham and cheese omelette, biscuits and gravy, and hash browns were delicious. The atmosphere made you feel as though you walked into the restaurant when it opened.”

“Let's start off with the food. Very Good. The Gumbo was jus spicy & seasond enough. The consistency was good too. The Blackened Catfish was again season perfectly and the rice was in point. The Yams, Mac & cheese was good. The Greens was good but the cut was too big. The Salmon was way too dry but that's every place in St Louis. The cornbread is almost like cake but it has a good flavor. The peach cobbler is great and the banana pudding is good but it doesn't have any bananas. The waiting area is tight and the neighborhood has gone down. The wait time is a little long however the food is worth it. It's definitely on my recommend list of places for foodies try in St LouisParking: Street front parking only and two level of steps. Not wheelchair accessible. You might have to wait in your car or on the porch because the waiting room is very tight”

“My small group stopped by Sneaky's prior to a concert at the Wildey Theater across the street. Sneaky's exceeded our expectations by far. Our waitress recognized we were in a slight time crunch, so she had us in and out in under 30 minutes. We ordered a double burger and tots with queso to share around the table. That burger was one of the best burgers I've ever had! I'm a tough burger critic, but this burger was perfectly juicy, perfectly cooked, and the taste was god-tier. This will be the burger I compare all other burgers to. The tots are not to be forgotten! They were perfectly cooked, crispy outside and soft interior without the excess grease or taste of a fryer. Each one in our group made audible sounds when we ate our first tot and we kept going back for more! The Sneaky Sauce was delicious and very flavorful! I have a hard time thinking of something that wouldn't be good on. Overall, I HIGHLY recommend Sneaky's and very much look forward to our next trip there! Until then, I'll be dreaming about how great they are!”

“Good burgers, chill atmosphere. Bourbon Burger and Arch Burger are my go tos. Wings are good as well. Everything I've ordered has been fantastic.Quick tip: If you're doing takeout, I would recommend getting a pretzel bun, as it travels better than a regular one.”
