“This is the BEST Chinese food I have ever had. It is authentic, fresh and home made. The noodles are amazing. You can tell they are freshly made. We try to get something different every time we go there just so we can try everything and we have never had a bad dish. The leak pancakes are fablous as well as the soup dumplings! I tried the tomato, eggs and noodles and that is my new favorite. It is a very comforting dish. I can't say enough about the food. From the mapo tofu to the biang biang noodles all the way to the soy sauce eggs - you can't go wrong. The owner is very friendly and the place is clean and comfortable. This is a MUST TRY!!“
“Want to take the time and acknowledge the evening crew they were great it was a full house I placed a walk-in order to go the young lady had a positive attitude stated it would take a few min the cooks were super helpful and quick in preparing the food overall the service and quality of the food was awesome had a great experience!“
“I had a decent experience. Staff are okay. Food options and choices are amazing. My only comment is the order. It can be better, There has to be a way that makes the traffic flow better. It's not terrible though, People are not fighting over crab legs haha. I like that they are the once serving the crab legs and the prime rib. I'll go back. The dessert server looked really unhappy and seems unsatisfied with what she's doing. I hope she's okay.“
“This was our first time here. It was very busy so we ate at the bar. What a treat! We had conversations with the two women behind the bar and learned a bit about Chinese alcohol and the Jasmine tea they serve. The food was wonderful. We had Wonton soup, hot and sour soup (the best I have ever had!), potstickers, Hunan beef, and garlic chicken. Everything came out of the kitchen quickly and hot! The food was plentiful and I had to pack most of my entree to go! The staff was very kind and attentive. What a wonderful dinner. “Too good....my all-time favorite restaurant...food is delicious..authentic Chinese flavor...but their chang's special spicy chicken was not at all spricy..it was more like orange or pineapple chicken..i tried their kung pao chicken before..that was much more better for those who loves spicy food..ambiance and the service was great..overall great experience..“
“First time visit for husband and I to Yen Yen on recommendation of friend. Our favorite Chinese restaurant here in Des Plaines closed last year and we are looking for new favorite place. Yen Yen will definitely be our place to go., We went at lunch time. The menu is extensive, but we ordered our usual favorites of Sweet Sour Chicken and Beef Chop Suey. Both dishes were absolutely delicious, with all the ingredients we love. Our server was friendly and helpful in navigating the menu pages. The seating area is pleasant. Everyone was extremely welcoming when we entered and also attentive when we left. We will certainly return, and with our family members also.“
