Going through the drive through takes a long time even if you order just a couple things. Very long waits later in the day. I do like their onion rings, fries, and shakes though as a vegetarian.Vegetarian options: They have a few sides as vegetarian (onion rings, fries, etc.) and shakes, the rest of the menu is mainly burgers
Placed our order on the kiosk. They were pretty busy and food was quickly served. We used to live in St. Louis and miss having a Steak and Shake nearby. We were happy to see one in Joliet. Food was just as we remembered. Manager was attentive to the customers and the employees worked well together. Like that you can see the kitchen while they make the food. Shakes served in chilled glasses. Love it.

This place has been around forever. We quit going years ago because it was consistently poor quality, food, less than friendly customer service, and generally kind of dirty.
