“I recently visited this cafe and was thoroughly impressed. The atmosphere was cozy and inviting, making it the perfect place to relax and enjoy a cup of coffee. The staff was friendly and attentive, ensuring that my experience was nothing short of exceptional. I would highly recommend this cafe to anyone in search of a delightful and memorable dining experience.”
“Our daughter’s wedding was here yesterday- what a beautiful venue and perfect choice her and her husband made! Christian (banquet manager) and his staff were totally on top of things! Room was set up as stated. They made sure things ran smoothly throughout the evening. A complete package and great value for money. The room has a beautiful patio. Floor to ceiling windows made a great backdrop for the ceremony and then the head table. The bakery they work with made a delicious cake with many choices of flavor and design. In case of bad weather they will open the brewery for pictures. We couldn’t be happier!!!!”
“New owners, ? making great improvements ?.This squirrel ?️ and momma squirrel gave this place a re-vist after a long break and couldn't be more happy. We've been back twice and brought friends, who LOVE it.Keep up to grrat work.Key loves.1. Basement is SO COOL ?. I love the old vibe and character. The bar tender is a great guy (USMC) and knows how to treat people well.2. Main floor has 3 distinct vibes. Bar ?, inside dinning, 4 season room.3. The new and improved outdoor dinning. Huge open area for your Dog ?, kids, and ?️. With games, seating and beer ?.4. Pinball games!5. Cool merch, shirts hoods and more.Again it's a work in progress with the NEW owners. GREAT JOB!If you need an investor to help I'm interested (wish I had real money). The place has something for everyone, blue collar, white collar, beer drinkers, old timers, and gentrification crew. I'm interested to see what happens with the top floor.Give them a chance and support!Parking: Parking is a little primitive to gravel lot Don't be discouraged Just be polite when you park. The more of us to go quicker they'll have money to pave it.Kid-friendliness: Great outdoor area for the kids to run around without door games kids special menu and dog menu for your puppies dogs are only outdoors.”
“First time we ate there. Food was good service was fast and friendly. They are a busy restaurant so be prepared to wait a little to be seated.Parking: Plenty of parkingWheelchair accessibility: Yes wheel chair accessible”
“One of our new favorite places! We realized we didn't have a local Indian resturant in our regular rotation and decided to begin the hunt. Thankfully we found India Foodie Lounge and it was love at first sight. As long as they'll have us we'll be customers for life!”
“A suburban gem! The appetizers are so good and a wonderful way to start a meal. We have been here for two special occasions and have enjoyed the whole dining experience.”
“Dukes BBQ is a fantastic joint, and the owner is a good guy. Just ate there for the 1st time today, and the ribs are the best. Great dry rub and sauce. Talked to the owner Duke, and he is a good-hearted person. The train caboose is a cool location, too. Mac and cheese is great!”
“What a pleasant surprise! Our server William was amazing! So attentive, kind, and had great recommendations! They had just updated their menu when we went and it was hard to decide what to get. We got the mascarpone ravioli, shrimp scampi, and the breaded chicken in a lemon cream sauce. Everything was so delicious and piping hot! We got the chocolate layer cake for dessert. We ate so fast we didn’t get photos of our meals, but I added a photo of the dessert. We will definitely be back!Kid-friendliness: Very kid friendly!”
“The owner took great care of us knowing I had a longer drive home with the pizzas by giving us extra hot honey packets, extra sauce, and not cutting the pizza beforehand. The pizza (hell raiser and the kids loved their cheese pizza) was outstanding, as expected based on the great reviews, I just wish we had even more and were closer because now we dont have leftovers!”
“One of my favorite breweries. They always have a large selection of beers in tap. The expanded taproom is very comfortable with pinball and dart games. The owners and beertenders are the best!”
“Food Again, bigger group. We all ordered from the lunch menu. I had miso soup, spicy tuna roll and a crunch roll. Tuna could have been spicier. I asked for extra wasabi. Service Good service however a little disjointed. I asked for tea and our group had asked for refills and they were slow to fill. We a group of 5 and there was one other table that was seated halfway through our lunch. We did eventually get our tea and refills. Ambiance We all appreciated the video poker machines placed in a different room. Tables were clean. The room was inviting. We were curious as to why there were notes at the tables "please do not take chopsticks". Who steals reusable chopsticks from a restaurant?”
“I miss that place ?I move down south... There taco salad and the steak California burrito are sooo good not just those but all there food is good..And the workers there are great...I you to good ther two to three times a week...”
“This place is fantastic. The mozzarella he makes is to die for. The sausage Frank makes is the best I’ve had since leaving NY. HIS Beef is home made and delicious. And the pizza , Bro, forget about it, delicious.I have never been disappointed in anything from here. I can’t wait for them to be in their new location in the Commons in Barrington.Rich Robertaccio”
“This place has great food and drinks! The ambiance could be warmer but it's worth the visit. The times I've been there I sat in the bar area and the service was great. Friendly people”
“Very friendly people work here and make you welcome from the get-go.Had the chorizo casserole. It was delicious and filling. Had a $2 16oz Hamms as well. They had PBR and Stroh's as well.In addition, they have poker machines for entertainment.”
“After growing up within the Latino community, eating authentic Mexican dishes, and learning how to cook within that community, I'm pretty particular about the Mexican food establishments I give my hard-earned cash to, because I know what good Mexican food is and it is often not what you get...Cinco Hermanos gets my money happily! As such, I often have certain requests that may not be on a menu, but I know are doable, based on my knowledge of Mexican cuisine. Not only do they happily receive my request during my phone order, the request is always executed correctly and to my liking. My husband doesn't like certain things in his burrito, and when ordering from other places, those things were either in there, or replaced with other "fillers." He orders the same exact thing every time, so he has often been disappointed...and his requests are easy like no lettuce and no rice inside the burrito...no biggie, right? The first time we ordered the way my hubby likes his burrito, from Cinco Hermanos, not only did they get the order right, they added some extra meat in the burrito as the "filler." That's customer service and attention to detail right there!I love that their tacos ARE NOT GREASY!! We love tacos al pastor, but they are often bathing in grease, which is actually just laziness on the cook's part...I know, because I make them at home, often. I usually don't like to order carryout tacos as a result, because they arrive home soggy and greasy...NOT the experience I've had at Cinco Hermanos! The tortillas rarely have any extra grease on them and the meat is the same. Any tacos I've ever ordered from them arrive home intact, non-soggy, and as delicious as if they were just prepared in my own kitchen!I also really enjoy their green salsa...it tastes like homemade. You can tell that they used fresh ingredients and that it was made in smaller batches. It's hard to explain, but trust me when I say it is one of the best green salsas I've ever had, including some homemade authentic versions. It's a little warmer than most, so be prepared for that, but it is crave-able!If you're looking for a stellar caldo de res, this is the place! Not only did it taste like the thousands of caldo's I've enjoyed in Mexican kitchens over my lifetime, it was served the way you'd be served in said kitchen...plenty of meat and veggies in that delicious broth! My typical experience ordering caldo to-go, is a container with a lot of broth, one or two small pieces of meat, one small carrot, more cabbage than anything, and half a potato...not even enough meat to make a decent taco to eat with the broth. I ordered this one weekend I was sick, and let me tell you, it hit ALL the right spots! Rich broth with an abundance of meat and veggies...exactly the way it would be served in my home kitchen. I was floored when I opened the container and saw it, and then more pleasantly surprised when I tasted it...perfection! Just know that it's only available on weekends and totally worth the wait! Oh, and one of my requests, LOTS of limes, was absolutely fulfilled, happily. Hats off to this place for great customer service!I've not had one thing on the menu that has displeased me, nor has my husband. Not one.Not only is the food delicious, the service is impeccable. I have certain requests when I order carryout, not excessive by any means, just certain things we prefer, like only green salsa and no plastic utensils necessary. At other places we've ordered, 8 out of 10 times, there's a bunch of red salsa in the bag - along with the green - and a bunch of plastic forks that end up in our garbage can. EVERY SINGLE TIME we order from Cinco Hermanos, the instructions are followed to a T, which tells me that they're good business people and not throwing their money in our garbage can. As a business person, I find that smart, admirable, and a likely indicator of how they run their business on every level. Here's a good "tell" if a Mexican restaurant ”
“I’m a photographer and I like to edit my pictures at coffee shops while sipping on my iced latte? This place hits the spot! I recommend coming here if you want to do some work while drinking coffee and listening to some music. They play very chill music as well ! Service was great, the barista was helpful. I liked the coffee?? very refreshing”
“Simple unassuming place and just so so good!Service is very friendly and attentive. Food comes out pretty quick. Rice dishes come out faster than ramen bowls so be aware. Can't really go wrong with anything on the menu from teas to rice dishes to ramen. Everything we have tried has been absolutely delish. We have had as appetizer: the crab salad (has bits of apple for added crunch) , the bang bang shrimp , karaage, and crab Rangoon. Recommend them all.For dinner: we have sampled the spicy ramen (I picked spicy), tonkatsu pork and chicken ramen, the tantamen (ginger sesame broth), shoyu ramen and the beef shank ramen. Loved them all!I typically make sure there is an egg and bamboo in all my broth based ramens.i Like the added protein and texture they bring.I can only eat about half of a bowl and have enough for another meal the next day which is awesome.”
“A very tiny restaurant, cozy and personal. The sushi chef is excellent, the fish is very fresh. Miso soup that came with sushi was incredible. Service very friendly and pleasant. I'm so glad i found this little gem.”
“We've been wanting to try this spot for a while & are glad that we did. We came in on a Saturday evening a few hours before closing. There was only 1 other party so we didn't know if that was good or bad. It was good because we didn't have to wait long & the food tasted incredible. It's self order on a touch screen menu, once you're # is called, you pick up your tray from the counter. Food is served on a cast iron plate to keep it warm. They have filtered water options with re-usable cups for those that prefer opting out of the water bottle option. Excellent Korean BBQ bulgogi style ( thin marinated meat cooked on a grill or griddle). The owners are very friendly and ask if you want it spicy or not, also offering sauce on the side. Soy sauce is also available upon request. The portions are perfect and the price is reasonable. If you want to be stuffed one plate is enough. I like to take some home for another meal. ($13-$15 per person) not including drinks. They also have fresh sushi which is a little bit pricier than the bulgogi, imo. I'd rather eat the Bulgogi since they have knocked this one out of the park. Great location with clean bathrooms, & friendly owners. Looking forward to the warm weather so we can take a walk around the lake afterwards.”
“AMAZING AMAZING. I ordered the super combo with garlic rice and some extra BBQ sticks. Every bite was delicious, quality is really unmatched. I’m excited to try out their special dishes next time!!Follow them on Facebook to find out where they are cooking for the week. if that doesn’t work you can buy at their central kitchen spot”
“❤️Rosie's!! They are what makes me feel normal and be able to have sweet treats after almost 2 years going gluten/dairy free! Ty ladys for all your hard work! It won't let me pick but the POP TARTS are my fav!”
“Absolutely wonderful!!! It was 10:30 on Thursday place was packed like it was Sunday after church. Tonya our waitress was on point. We had 4 people so we split up on 2 tables. The pancakes awesome! The biscuits and gravy best ever. I could have eaten just gravy. It was that good!!”
“I’m a coffee addict?? so I’ve been to so many coffee shops! I went in and noticed all their coffee beans have their own flavor, flavors I haven’t seen in any other coffee beans. I’m all for trying new things when it comes to coffee☕️ so I got their signature blend to try it out! I like the idea of all the flavors coming from the coffee beans only rather than adding all these syrups, sauces, etc… all they add is their own sweetness which I think its like a creamer they make. Good for business ??? highly recommend this coffee shop ! ☕️”
“Let me start off by saying wow….. Just wow. This was more than just a pizza, but an experience. Dave Portnoy shined a light in the darkness of deep dish pizza in Lake County. I tried Uncle Jeremiah's for the first time today- i’ll go back to the first sentence, just wow. 10/10 pizza , 10/10 experience. I will definitely be returning. If not daily, bi-daily. I saved a spoonful of the sauce for tomorrow. Thanks Uncle Jerry’s!”
“Sean the lead bartender is amazing. He creates the best custom cocktails that aligns to your meal beautifully. The ambiance and energy at Gigi’s is unmatched in the Barrington area and the menu is always changing and evolving. Can’t reccomend it more!”
“This photo doesn’t do this pie justice. This is exactly what I have been looking for. Dynamite Chicago pizza! What can I say, the slices are thin crisp & spot on. Sauce is just right with a little acidity and tastes like tomatoes, not overpowering herbs. Good quality cheese blend of mozzarella & provolone. You can tell they make that sausage in house with the fennel and nice big chunks. This is what Chicago pizza is all about. I’ll be back.”
“My wife and I decided to stop in and give this place a try. We are happy we did because the drinks were amazing. The strawberry moon martini was a hit, and the appetizers were delicious. We were fortunate they had live music that night. It was a really good time. We plan to go back in the future. If you're in the neighborhood, give this place a try!”
“We went to Panini Bar, as we had a craving for a panini this afternoon and we googled “panini near me”. This place came up. We ordered avocado panini (vegetarian) and Turkey pesto panini. Both were REALLY REALLY tasty. Avocado panini had a bit of spaciness to it (which I loved). Turkey panini was absolutely delicious with basil pesto. All ingredients were fresh and panini was nice and crispy. We rally enjoyed our food. The only thing we didn’t realize is that this is a deli, not a cafe. So there is no opportunity for dine-in. But we found a couple benches outside and had a nice picnic on a bench. Overall, great sandwich take-out place! Service was great too, very nice and polite.”
