“We had our wedding reception at The Barrel Room @ Harbor Brewing Company, Lake Villa.Firstly, let me say that the staff is incredible, passionate, and extremely supportive. Not only do you sense that when you are enjoying the public bar facing Cedar Avenue, but you feel that especially when you host a private event in their premier entertainment space: The Barrel Room.We worked with Alyssa from start to finish. She is an incredible person, helping us every step of the way. She made incredible suggestions to us, relieving a lot of our stress from the experience, which you cannot put a price on.The overall atmosphere is incredible. What they were able to achieve with their beautiful space is going to liven up downtown Lake Villa.We held our ceremony at Lehmann Park and our catering was from Galati's next door to HBC. (Please check out Galati's and my review for them.)Between Harbor Brewing and Galati's, downtown Lake Villa has two 'anchor' establishments that will surely cultivate an incredible future. My wife and I will be visiting often to enjoy a pint and some of the best Italian food from Galati's.Thank you, to the HBC staff. “Awesome lil spot. I went with my wife, 1 yr old son, sister inlaw and niece. Loved the service and the small town family feel. Good food, excellent service and the cream on top was plenty of parking and it was free.”

“Had such a a great experience here. The waiter was so sweet and attentive. Was very accommodating for our vegan needs. Food was delicious. I got a veggie taco dinner and hubs got a bean burrito. Neither were on the menu but were created for us. The strawberry margarita was very yummy.Vegetarian options: Beans were vegan as well as bean burrito and veggie tacosDietary restrictions: Vegan friendly!!!”

“Best sandwiches in Lake County! Still can’t get over the hand whipped YOGURT. Excellent “desert” for someone who doesnt like a lot of sugar. I always recommended this place to my families with children. Kids are PICKY but they LOVED the options for yogurt. Go early, he runs out. Thank you for the service, he was kind and patient when I came in with Several orders. Don’t forget the chips, love the spicy jalapeños.Dietary restrictions: I can’t consume or process pork so he recommended sandwiches without pork that we’re Excellent. Love that he didn’t invade my privacy by asking if it was for religious reasons. Thank you again.Parking: Lots of parking and wheelchair accessible!Kid-friendliness: Though it has liquor he simply told me the children couldn’t go pass a certain line which I loved cause who wants to explain liquor to children. The children stayed near me and all parents love that since kids tend to pick up unnecessary snacks when they wander stores. It’s a great way to make them stay in your sight.”

“It's been awhile since I've had pizza at their location in Round lake. This one in Lake Villa, was awesome.. The pizza was excellent and very tasty. I recommend people try Galati's Restaurant first before going anywhere else.”

“This place is a hidden gem!! Absolutely stunning scenery, the entire establishment is super clean, and the waitstaff are very friendly. Cassie is the best, super sweet, caring, and will always make sure you’re taken care of. She pays great attention to everyone, you won’t even know that she’s noticed you’re ready for your next!”

“Went here for the first time a few weeks ago the staff and owner were super friendly and welcoming. I decided to go back to eat a few days later with my family all the food was great and we are quite picky!! This will definitely be one of our new go tos whether it be for lunch/dinner or just a quick beer. Very happy we tried it out!Kid-friendliness: Was nice to be able to bring my kids in on a Sunday for lunch and not feel like we were out of place. Kids were happy with the food as well !”

“I've driven past this place for years until my son and I got dinner there on a whim. Wow, we were missing out! It's cozy inside and the staff is always super-friendly. The burritos, Taco salad, and chimichangas are amazing. You definitely won't leave hungry!”

“This is a true Lake County dive bar and that's not a bad thing. Half of it was built in 1936 and half in 1954.We visited Wolff's on a Friday nite. That particular Friday was a good and fun nite to visit. The patrons were really friendly and freely shared the "historical" details of the tavern. We chatted for about 45 minutes.We visited Saturday (last nite). It's still a fun place but there was a group of extremely intoxicated and LOUD women at one corner of Wolff's bar. I suppose that's a risk one takes in a dive bar on a Saturday nite.Wolff's had a meat raffle in the afternoon and folks brought a lot of food to satisfy during the raffle. There was a lot left when we arrived around 8 PM.In general, this is a great Lake County Dive Bar .”

“In reading these reviews, I'm wondering if some of these people are going to the same place that I'm going. Dean, at the door, is absolutely wonderful. He always makes me feel welcome and calls me by name. Ben is new and as I've gotten to know him he is so super friendly. He sees me coming in. He comes over and personally greats me. I've never seen a manager that actually carries food for the bartenders and helps them to keep up with the bar service. He's great. The bartenders are so outstanding. Liz and Kristen are on the ball and when not working with customers are cleaning and arranging and doing exactly what bartender should do. They're super friendly and are always there with my drink when I want it. This is my to-go place on the way home from work. When I stop in midweek, Alex is my bartender and he makes the most wonderful blueberry lemon drops. During the week when I'm in there, he'll come out of the dining room and over to greet me and asked me if everything is okay. He's a wonderful bartender server and all around friendly person I stop in for a drink or an evening of fun. The food is fantastic. I have never had a a bad meal. I always eat at the bar but Yessica has gotten to know me and always comes by and greets me and asked me if it had a good day.”

“We were invited out to Reflections while we were visiting friends in IL. There are many restraunts to choose from, but we must say we are so glad that we here. First it has that traditional restraunt on a lake. The rustic look inside with views of the lake give it a wonderful charm. A beautiful bar with an awesome bartender by the name of Patty. She made sure we were all taken care of. The food & service was great. You may want to make reservations. Enjoy, We sure did :)”

“Gave all four stars because the food was above average for the types of food offered. Pleased to see a lot of choices to choose from. Service was good. Received food quickly. Found the atmosphere to be a little too warm, but I realize it’s hard to please everyone.”

“Reminds me of cheers where everyone knows your name. Jackie the bartender is really awesome and on a dead end road. The atmosphere is great and the people are down to earth. A must see to appreciate the old times and be part of the family.”

“First time at Oktoberfest. The music was great. Nice people and atmosphere. Parking attendants directing traffic and parking in a grass lot. Everything was purchased through a ticket system. German drinks and tap beers. Festive indoors and out. Thought the food kind of sucked. The pretzels were overcooked and hard to eat. The buns for the bratwurst were really dry. Schnitzel bites didn't look anything like the photo and was basically a few crumbs in a small bowl. The strudel was nice. If I attended again, I think I would eat beforehand. Had a good time for the most part though.”

“This place is awesome. They have hot wings that are truly out of this world. Highly recommend stopping in for lunch or dinner. And the staff was smiling and truly happy to be there making great food.”
