My children and I hadn’t been here in quite some time. I was disappointed to see how much it had gone down. They no longer have waitresses, it’s computer kiosk ordering only now inside. Which is fine I guess if you know how to use it. They were not very busy when we went there, just a few tables had people at them. We had trouble finding a clean table to sit at though. I found out since COVID you now have a kiosk to order your food. I was very very disappointed! I for 1 hate using them to order or check out. 2 I think that really makes dining a drag. Then you have a server but WHY if you have to do it yourself anyway. Get your utensils napkins and then add a tip on kiosk? Steak and shake will never be the same or my go to place.

Steak n Shake, as far as Marien il goes has changed. No longer does someone seat you and take your order. Now you order from a kiosk and seat yourself. Yet the kiosk still asks if you want to give a tip. I don't know about others, but my tip is for serviceWe did find a clean table but most were not clean. It's a shame. I truly hope all steak n shake restaurants haven't went this direction.
