“Quaint little coffee shop that also happens to be part of the Southern IL coffee trail, which is how I found out about it. In checking out their FB page, I saw them mention a gingerbread latte, so I made the drive. When I got there, they didn't have their holiday menu out yet, but the staff was happy to make my GBL anyway, so that was much appreciated. For people like me who prefer to make their coffee more like a dessert, they have lots of different flavored lattes on their menu. I also had a breakfast burrito, which was fine. If you're not familiar with the area, your GPS will probably lie to you about the location. It's right next to the visitors center, with a good sized parking lot. Not a bad coffee option if you happen to be in the area.”

“I ordered a very large order for National Coffee with an Officer day. They made me 20 drinks in 15 min! A wonderful experience from order to pick up! I enjoy the iced caramelicous and I actually also love the everything bagel sandwiches as well!”

“Great portion sizes and wonderful variety of options for non-pork diets. We had the beef fried rice and this is the first time we’ve seen that option! Crab Rangoons are huge and stuffed. The egg fu young gravy was basically soy sauce and cornstarch so we didn’t like that at all, but everything else was good.”

I would say a middle aged is the typical crowd no crazy music or drama. Plenty of parking.”

“Nice atmosphere inside, but we frequently order to go. Homemade soups and flatbreads are good. Great prime rib and pork steak. Gorgonzola pasta with steak is very good. Brussel sprouts order as a side are bacon wrapped (one of our favorites).We tried brunch for the first time recently and while the quantity was great for the price we were a little let down by the quality (biscuits and French toast could be better in taste) and the advertised $3 mimosas with flavoring are more like dry champagne with flavoring (no orange juice like a mimosa) so that was bit disappointing. Overall a reliable restaurant with a nice variety on the menu.”

“McDonald’s are always so hit and miss. Not the one in Mascoutah. Fingers crossed, but I’ve never had a single mistake or issue with my order. Down the road at the Belleville location, an incorrect order was so frequent that I just started checking every item before even leaving the drive thru. I have no worries at this location.”

“Saves me from the wrath of a dragon ? (hungry Filipino wife). With limited Filipino restaurant options, I feel like I found a diamond in the rough. We passed this place many times before knowing it existed. One day on Google maps I saw "Yummy rice bowls", and told my wife because she mainly eats rice with everything. She was reluctant at first but warmed up very quickly after arriving and now it is her favorite go to when we are in the O'fallon area. She really applauds the pork Pinoy and all the different fixings. I think it is great too and I am your typical steak and potatoes guy. Great place and format for anyone to go in quickly and get a nice healthy and tasty meal. I personally, much prefer that over spending much more money at a restaurant or spending about the same amount or less at fast food, which is just over processed junk food that you end up paying for more with your health down the road. “It can be incredibly difficult to find good vegan good, but I always know I can visit The Happy Bakery for a good meal served by smiling faces. The baked goods are out-of-this-world good (you just have to try those sprinkle cookies!) and the lunch/brunch options are just as delicious.You do not have to *be a vegan* to enjoy The Happy Bakery. Even if you eat meat for every other meal, you can go here and enjoy some fantastic food that just so happens to be free of meat and dairy products. I have taken friends and family here that were not vegan, and they all had a great time.”

“Now, mind you, I didn't get to the bakery until afternoon.Finally made it to Woods bakery, and it was well worth the wait. Goodies galore, only problem they sold out of their Easter cookies. With that said, there was still plenty to choose from for my visit. Little pies and my favorite cherry with struesel crumbs, cinnamon Raisin Bread with icing, small cupcakes filled with icing, and last but not least, glazed donuts. I have to admit it was the best glazed donut I've ever tasted, so light & fluffy with just the perfect glaze on it. I could eat quite a few but stopped at one. Lest I forget, they make strollers, coffee cakes, mini cakes for birthdays, regular sized cakes and pies, Danish rolls, mini pies, cross buns, breads, noodles, muffins and tons of special cookies Frozen goodies, too, like carrot cake, cup cakes, birthday cakes.I'm sure I'm missing items, so go check out this delicious bakery. You won't be disappointed.”
