I tried the ciabatta breakfast sandwich and it was very good but the egg was cold. If it was warm it would have been very good! The new design of the Panera is nice but I miss the secluded booths and study type areas. The open design is not ideal to utilize the space for work.
Wife and I had eaten the Old Panera Bread in McHenry on Rt 31 twice a month on Friday evenings for 3-4 years until it closed recently. We were always impressed with the freshness and quality of the food and enjoyed its low key ambiance. We just tried the new Panera Bread, on the other side of the road.Old PaneraNo drive through, parking lot right off Rt 31; was easy to park and exit. One order kiosk (which we never used), a wall of large bins full of different types of bagels....read full review

We had a very good experience at Panera Bread. This new facility was hopping at lunchtime. I ordered the 1/2 Chipotle Chicken Avocado Melt and cup of broccoli cheddar soup and they were both delicious.
