“If I can give it a 20 star I would, the food, the service and the atmosphere was amazing and Spectacular! I will definitely come back here again! We got the lamb chops and one item specials which was the Ribeye with mashed potatoes and god it was definitely delicious I wish I didn’t get so full so fast. We got calamari as an app and that was very good and tasty as well. For desert we finished off with homemade tiramisu and the chef treated us with some homemade cannoli. I was truly amazed with the service we got, definitely worth all the money. This place is very nice and everyone is friendly and amazing makes you want to go back!“
“One of the few remaining ethnic food festivals around. The old-time carnival rides were full of fun for the grandkids. The food was provided by many mom & pop shops who have been cooking Italian for years. No admission charge and each vendor charging $2 - 3 per item. Adjacent Taste of Mexico section provides even more variety. The Folklorico dancers put on a most professional show as did the other entertainment stages. Will definitely bring the family back next year.“
“Best pizza place ever. Pizza is so good. The cheese fries are the best anywhere. We always order the hottest wings. Not hot at all but still very good. Taste like the really good ones from jewel osco. We order from here all the time. The only place we order pizza from.“
“greatest selection of hard to find cheese, Better than Mars cheese, its too bad the Caputo company are idots and better wake up for keeping this place a secret, its not even advertised in their flyers, every hard to find cheese I want is there, in 1 location. whats with you Caputo people, let people know its here“
“I love the Olive Garden. Our server, Kevin, was attentive and out of sight! Wish all servers were like him. The salad and breadsticks are always awesome! The spaghetti is just so so. I wish they would go back to where it only had ground beef and there are too many actual tomato pieces in the sauce. But I still come back anyway!“
“I have lived away from the Chicago area for 26 years. So whenever I am back I must indulge in a great Italian beef sandwich. I was staying near Midway so I decided to give Tony's a try. They did not disappoint. I phone ordered the "big beef" with hot peppers and provolone medium wet to go. They told me about ten minutes. I got there about 30 minutes later expecting to quickly pay pickup and be on my way but had to wait about 5 minutes or so. But I realized this was a good thing as they meticulously assembled the order with the peppers and oil in a separate container which otherwise would have made the sandwich a soggy mess by the time I got back to the hotel. The beef was perfectly moist and seasoned and the sandwich was huge. I only planned to eat one half but could not stop. The staff was super friendly. It is pretty much a take out spot with a small counter eat in area and a small off the street parking area in the back. I highly recommend Tony's for any connoisseurs of the Chicago style Italian beef sandwich.“
“We came here from Naperville since we had business nearby. Had to park three blocks away on an early Friday evening. Overall it was a great experience but somewhat expensive with 3 drinks. It got pretty noisy when full. Sharply decorated and very good food and menu selection. Waitress attentive but busy. I would go back especially for a special occasion.Nice portions on starter , entrees and dessert. Marco's is a nice independent upscale restaurant in the Western Suburbs. They obviously did their homework on this operation.“
“My husband and I came here for lunch and enjoyed the excellent service and food. The focaccia bread and olive oil with garlic and hummus was to die for and we were getting full before our meal came. We ordered mussels, salad, pasta and seafood risotto. Of course we had to take half of entrees home since we enjoyed the focaccia bread! I have been here before with my friends and ate outside on a Monday night over the summer and also had an excellent meal. We will definitely come back.“
“Out door dinner the best around2 outdoors experiences. One screened with Italian windows. Second sun covered tent. Beautiful plants around ?Parking: It depends when you come. Plenty of parkingKid-friendliness: Store is very small, one line in , one area out“
“We had to make a last minute change to our reservations. This was met with flexibility and positivity. Then, they chose seating appropriate for a large party with two young children. Our server was new but incredibly prepared and well supported by her teammates. We were lucky to have the restaurant week menu available to us. We enjoyed every dish served and we are still raving over our chicken entree and desserts.“
“I loved the food, the server was excellent, the drink was small but the NOISE LEVEL was too loud. I dont think my husband and I will be back. We even went at 5:30 pm thinking it would not be as crowded but it still just roared by the time we left.“
“I stopped in this place today as I was driving through Hinsdale and I was glad I did. I ended up buying 3 days worth of meals when I only stopped in for a slice of pizza !From the moment I walked in, I was greeted by Carmela, who was incredibly warm, knowledgeable, and informative. She guided me through the menu, which boasts an array of Italian classics, all made with the highest quality ingredients. What sets Altamura Pizza apart is their dedication to authenticity. The crusts are imported directly from the Puglia region in southern Italy, milled from world-renowned durum semolina wheat. Hand-tossed and stone-baked by Italian Pizzaioli, the pizza crust is a testament to the culinary artistry that goes into every dish. The flavors were nothing short of amazing—each bite was a journey to southern Italy. The authenticity doesn't stop at the pizza; they also offer gluten-free options and charcuterie boards that are just as delightful. It's rare to find places run with such love and care these days. Altamura Pizza is not just a restaurant; it's an experience that brings the warmth and flavors of southern Italy right to your table. If you're in the area, do yourself a favor and stop by. You won't be disappointed!“
“Great food and great customer service. I would say better for a date night or a small group. I felt like my 5 gf's and I were a little too loud with our laughter and joyous occasion. Hope we didn't disturb anyone nearby trying to have a quiet meal.“
“I catered from Frankie Deli’s this past weekend for my brother’s birthday. I had my entire family raving about how delicious everything was. I ordered the lasanga, chicken parm and lemon chicken. There was no food leftover. Highly recommend!!“
“Place is BOSS, no CAP! Lol, it's really good. Great daily soup selection. Sicilian soup is my go to, however, when they have the Polish and potato soup on special, my goodness!!! Must try, they are legit.Parking: Lot in front, lot in back, street on side and an adjacent lot to front.Kid-friendliness: It's Italian, it's all family!Wheelchair accessibility: I see ramps and ada, sorry don't know much more about wheelchair woes. Love you though!“
“So yesterday was our first time ever eating here happened to come across the on a Facebook post decided to give it a try best decision ever... Are waitress Debbie was so knowledgeable of everything that we ordered and so friendly so respectful she was such a delight to deal with... Now to the food since the pandemic a lot of restaurants have gone to fast food or prepared food or you know just lost that homie taste.. this restaurant is the complete when I say that everything is made to order everything is so delicious so tasteful you taste every bit of ingredient and just the passion that they have for food we got the pizza we also tried their chicken vesuvio, the hot wings on waffle fries we kind of just wanted to have a variety to give it a try to see what we would like what we wouldn't and there was not one thing that we did not like like I said everything was just so delicious.. you would honestly think that you're at home getting a home cooked meal from your family we also decided to get the deserts I got the Oreo cheesecake and my mother got the carrot cake all the desserts are homemade made by the owner and it did not disappoint at all. This lady could honestly open up her own bakery if she wanted to how delicious her sweets were I highly recommend if you're looking for a home-cooked meal great atmosphere this place will not disappoint at all.“
“My husband favorite restaurant to have steak! They cook his steak as he request to perfection each and every time. The lobster ravioli is delicious, the portion is small. Keep in mind it must be it was so delicious I wanted more. The wine menu perfect. Parking can be hit or miss. I suggest making a reservation.“
“Super super cute family owned spot! Not a lot of great deli’s in the area but this was an awesome stop. The staff is SO kind! Although we only tried the deli food the market was well stocked and I look forward to getting supplies to make an authentic Italian dish! Highly “
“Went on a Monday, it’s a more chill atmosphere at this time unsure about the other days of the week but I had the davanti bisteca and it was AMAZING!. Our server Alejandra was the most attentive and helpful when it came to ordering. Would definitely be coming back soon!“
“Wow...the shrimp appetizer is pretty awesome! Completely blown away by the Ravioli w/ spinach and mushrooms!!! Both are dynamite...highly recommend them! Our server was the best too! She recommended the shrimp...very grateful for that recommendation! We'll definitely be back soon!!!“
“Was there last night. I started with the Stracciatella soup and had the shrimp, broccoli and linguine in garlic and oil for my main. It was all phenomenal!! My husband had the shrimp risotto with asparagus - it was also amazing. Our son had a patty melt...cooked perfectly. Thanks for a great meal from one of our favorite places.Dietary restrictions: they offer something for everyone“
“A great Italian vibe restaurant in the heart of Oak Brook center and shopping area. If you are gluten free, they have you covered! A whole gluten free menu with pasta and options, and all the items come out with Allergy indicators on them which is super helpful! I had the burrata caprese and the Pomodoro. The mint chocolate gelato was also so good!!Dietary restrictions: Gluten Free Menu & options“
“This is an all around solid restaurant. The freshness, texture, and taste of various dishes (linguini aglio-olio, penne all'arrabbiata, bruschetta) are consistent even for carryout! What an asset to the area.Vegetarian options: Penne all'arrabbiata, bruschetta, and linguini aglio-olio are great accidentally-vegan choices if you specify no cheese garnish/topping“
“The bread before the meal was fresh and really delicious. Each menu item comes with soup and salad. The price is good and the quantity is generous. Plus, every single dish is delicious. There is also Nebbiolo wine. This is a place I would like to visit again.“
“I am an Italian beef enthusiast. Possibly even an aficionado. This was perfection. Perfect beef - awesome giardiniera. Maybe the best I've ever had on both counts. Lean, tasty, and juicy and the hots were fresh tasting and vibrant. Supreme tamales - as good as Tom Toms, old brand. Necessity for an old school beef place. Actual cut potatoes for fries! Italian ice solid. The owners were there (husband / wife) when we visited, which was very nice. I wish this was near to me because I'd probably never go to another beef place again!“
“The food is authentic Italian and is delicious, especially the Rigatoni Con Sugo Di Carne! You can dine in to enjoy pleasant atmosphere and friendly, attentive service. It's in the center of a strip building between other restaurants that look alike so it's kind of hard to notice. In fact, I was told about the place and I live six blocks from it and drive by it almost every day.I have not tried the pizza since the Rigatoni is so good. If you like genuine Italian food, try it. You will return!Wheelchair accessibility: Wheelchairs look like they can roll right in. It's all ground level.“
“This place was a great find in downtown Elmhurst! The pizza is amazing and the atmosphere is modern and cozy! I would highly recommend making this a stop if your out in downtown Elmhurst. It's right odd the corner by the tracks and the service is excellent as well!“
“After leaving Chicago this is the one place I miss the most. Excellent food and excellent people. I always felt I was back in Italy when I went there. I try to make a stop there when I’m driving through. Salude Tony et al❤️ the panzoretti and aranancini are to die for. And the pasta oh mama Mia the pasta ❤️“
“The best Saturday Lunch I’ve had … so calm , warm and it’s so awesome!!!I need to experience this restaurant at night… A SUMMER NIGHT!!!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️Vegetarian options: Salmon ? is the best!!!!Parking: It’s just perfect !!“
“We hosted my son’s communion party at Porretta’s last May and we were very satisfied with everything, so we decided to cater for my mother’s birthday party. We ordered a few days prior and John was able to accommodate us in spite of the short notice. We had it delivered on time and with care. All the food was delicious but our guests especially raved about the Rigatoni Vodka and the mini meatballs.I am already planning our next celebration and will be using Porrettas catering once again!“
“We enjoyed the appetizers , drinks dessert and service . Jodie our server was amazing and very attentive. All the recommendations made by her, we loved. Thank you Jodie .We ordered bruschetta , calamari, chopped salad, minestrone soup, peace bianco alla spinaci, pollo positano. Their martinis are amazing and so were their desserts- Affogato, tirmaisu and apple crostata. A big shout out to the owner Billy for going above and beyond and handling a delicate situation. I know I will be back for some yummy italian food .“
“Carmen, our server was fabulous. Table was quiet, which was very nice and we felt our conversation wasn’t listened in on.I selected the skirt steak with the chimichurri. My fiancé had the sea bass on special. Antipasto to share as an appetizer. Bread was warm, butter whipped.Cocktails were good. Would absolutely come back again. The only weird thing, the chairs are leather. The seat I had was clearly stained, not sure what with, but it wasn’t wet or sticky. But the brown stain was a little off putting, but I totally forgot about it once I sat.“
“Food and service here is excellent! Some of my favorite dishes are the pasta with vodka sauce, chicken lemon, and a good sea food selection. Brick oven pizza is amazing! 100% recommend this place. Plenty of great entrees and appetizers to choose from. Very friendly owner and great atmosphere. Always busy. Been coming here for years and never once disappointed.“
“Delicious food, attentive service and fun cocktails. Environment is a little loud, but all of the other positives outweigh that. I recommend the Duck Sausage Flatbread, Roman Gnocchi, Croquets and Chimmichurri Pork Belly. But really everything we ordered was great. Had an amazing time celebrating my birthday there. What a special gem in Berwyn!“
“Great deep dish pizza. Pizza came out just warm, in my opinion, it should come out piping hot. I understand they may let them stand before serving, to keep the cheese from spilling out but ours was too cool for our liking. Maybe you can ask to have yours warmer.?“
“Delicious!! We tried the clasico panzerotti and the roasted vegetable pizza. The toppings were fresh, and cooked perfectly. The pizza crust is sooo good, and it has that nice chew/crunch combination that I want (also it has a perfect fold). I can't believe I've lived in the area 6 years, and just tried this out tonight. Wow, I want to go back tomorrow for lunch!“
“We were in the area overnight and looking for something authentic and quiet. We found both!! We didn’t realize it was byob but it didn’t matter. This is absolutely some of the best Italian food in the City/Suburbs. We live way south but will absolutely be back for the food. Great food, great service, wonderful atmosphere!!“
“Our meal was wonderful. We had the grilled octopus appetizer that was delicious. We shared the White Fish and jalapeño Gnocchi entrees. The fish was served on a bed of risotto with a sauce of artichokes and grape tomatoes. The jalapeño Gnocchi were little mildly spicey pillows. Both were absolutely delicious. Our server was especially friendly and helpful with suggestions. We will go there many more times.“
“Excellent Chicago deep dish pizza. The cheese pull lives up to its name. Very friendly staff, our server was very funny and excited about the food and taking pictures ?If you are in Chicago, I highly recommend the deep dish here. We had a great time!“
“We had a reservation for 7 for a birthday and Alex was our waiter. We couldn't have had a more wonderful time. Alex was attentive and kind and the food was phenomenal. We enjoyed their signature cocktails and wine, and they also helped us with choices for a younger member of our party who preferred simpler fare. Truly a fantastic night.“
“Nottoli since I was a kid has had the best italian sausage in chicagoland, all Italians know this. I haven't walked in nottoli and son in over 20 years since I moved out west. finally went back cause I heard their deli sandwiches are amazing and no doubt they are, best italian sub around. Good quality meats and they don't skimp on the lunch meats like others do. They have meatball sandwiches, chicken parmesan, etc all homemade and nice little italian grocery store. But remember they are the sausage kings, still the gem I remember from my teenage years living in elmwood park. And the friendliest Dagos around!! Can I say that ? Yes I'm italian I can???“
“Had this pizza for the first time 2 weeks ago and today will be my 3 time ordering since lol I love this pizza I wish they had dine in so I could eat my pizza right there! Very nice staff even the delivery guy! Getting ready to order my next pizza now!!!“
“Tried this spot out and it was really good! Staff was friendly and welcoming. Inside was clean and neat, and TV was running with a sports channel on. The menu has a lot of good Halal pizza options with various sizings. Tired the taco and bbq chicken pizza and was really tasty from here. Check them out!“
“Forno Rosso on Harlem is amazing! Chef Manuel is magnificent, especially with his menu specials! Such superb flavors combined with a perfect presentation! Pizzas are delicious in the wood fired pizza oven along with amazing martinis and homemade limoncello! And always save room for dessert! Staff is excellent, always super friendly & attentive. A relaxed atmosphere that is always inviting. Salute! It's our favorite place to dine!“
“Really good meatball sandwich it was really filling for 10$ it's definitely a great deal. And there Espresso.... Amazing thank you to the gentleman for letting us try the Espresso shots. Will definitely come back for more and to try there other dishes they have.“
“Seating is tight in this eatery. There's loud music playing, a peeve of mine. I want to hear myself think or carry on a conversation without shouting.Prices are good. You pick your sauce and pick your pasta. Staff not the friendliest but not rude either.I got marinara rigatoni with mini meatballs, she got vodka sauce risotto. Both dishes were fresh and tasty and we got large portions. It was $30 for two meals and water, a decent value.Four and a half stars for value, four stars for the food, and three stars for the service, minus four and a half points for the music volume. Make it three and a half total.“
“A totally fabulous meal. Each Bite is an orgasimic experience.Kid-friendliness: I would not take children under about 12 to this place. It's a dinner date night place and cozy. Most children will not appreciate the menu.Wheelchair accessibility: Well accessible“
“All I had was a panzerotti with pepperoni. The crust is very good and not baked too crunchy like others I've had. The sauce was good, not bland but not spicy and just a small touch of sweetness. I ordered it for takeout and cost about $13.My only gripe is I wish there was more sauce and cheese though. There's 30 min parking in front; not sure about the back. I'll definitely be back.“
“My boyfriend and I love this place. It's extremely clean inside and we usually just place an order to go over phone. We usually will get chicken Alfredo or baked mostaccioli, but we ALWAYS get those tacos. They are actually very very good!“
“What an absolute delight! Pure warmth and welcome from everyone working there. Given it location tucked into a residential neighborhood, you might think ‘neighborhood gem’ — this is much more. Truly top notch Italian cooking with house made pastas and fantastic sauces that could challenge any downtown place (and best most). The bread felt like something a grandma made in her kitchen. Loved the soup, then was blown away by my gnocchi with spicy vodka Arrabbiata sauce. Companions raved about the pizza and pasta with scallops.Definitely go here! And we will certainly be back.If I had to nitpick the row of video gambling machines did not seem to fit with the rest of the space and atmosphere. Must be a good money maker, so understandable.“
