Great place to eat, our server was one of the best I ever had, my steak was cooked exactly like I asked, and as always, abient at this place is perfect, not too much noise and not too quiet to get bored.
I loved the ambiance and music. My ribeye was cooked to perfection. The salad was uneventful, literally a bowl of lettuce only. The first salad was wilted, even the server agreed. All of the salad dressings were gross. I didn’t like the fact that the server didn’t wear plastic gloves when he handled my baked potato , he literally picked it up with his bear hands to slice it open after I observed him busy doing things in the dining area. This place has a history. It MEANS something to the wee ones from long ago (the 1970's) that now take their own grandkids here. Generational dining. Wanted to eat in the bar (and AT the bar) with the various locals of varied IQ's. At times the locals at this bar vary between cloying and clever. The bartenders are sassy. (Sometimes too "sassy.") But they are real. "Real" as in human. An oasis. Oasis "the nothing" I fear someday soon will wipe away. ("The nothing" is corporate blight.)...read full review
