“Didnt i just eat BBQ yesterday? ..Well...that was brisket. This meal was all about the pulled pork fries at FieldHouse 219 .My ever-faithful bartender Ben always hooks me up with what i believe to be a combination of their Bases Loaded fries, and their Pulled Pork fries menu items..Seasoned fries withQueso, bacon, and green onion (the Bases Loaded), with Pulled pork over the top of that! OMD i am gonna niss this place!That's right.... Fieldhouse219 has lost their lease and will be closing this business in May 2024. Until then, they seem to be operating expanded hours and doing ALL the fun activities that the folks of Monticello and surrounding area have come to enjoy these past eight years. We are gonna miss this crew, but ..since we cant change it...lets just celebrate the journey.Cmon out these next couple months and support Michelle, Ben, Johnny, and the rest of the awesome Fieldhouse219 staff as they prepare to move on to their next adventures.Thank you.... “I live on the east coast and have had Italian food in Boston, New York City pizza, had lobster up the coast of Maine. Traveled down to the Caribbean and Florida keys and ate seafood. Every time I come home to Monticello I go home to the grail called Casa Real. The food is always amazing. The staff are some of the friendliest people I’ve ever been served from. This place is a gem and will forever hold a place down in my heart.”

“The cakes, pies and brownies by Inge are fantastic! We picked up slices of vanilla cake, snickerdoodle cake, and chocolate brownies to go. Each one of these treats were truly delicious. Inga's desserts are sold through the Brown Bag Cafe on West Washington Street. Very reasonable prices considering the very high quality of Inge's products.”

“First time here! Absolutely loved it!!! Had the 1/2 pound fire burger, my husband had the Cob burger! Both were fantastic! Food came out quick and hot and the beers were delicious and ice cold!!!”

“A very popular place in Monticello. They have a wide variety of menu, I always get the sandwich special. Wonderful baked goods. Place your order at the counter, pick it up when called. The building is very old but they are updating everything and it is much brighter. One of my favorites places.”

“This is the 1st time in over 15 yrs. That I have been to Filippo's it has changed in that time the pizza crust wasn't nearly as good, it had to much sauce, and why they would put most of the toppings in a line threw the middle of the pizza I have no clue. The pizzas have gotten smaller but the price has went up. Which everyone I know has been saying for years.”

“Good food, full bar. The pictures do not do it justice. Its in an old church. Beautiful wood, windows, ceiling goes on forever, lots of air, perfect for these trying times. The more notice you give a locally owned place the better your experience will be. Call ahead and preorder, so they have a heads up.”

“A nice coffee place which has a cool feel to it. Lots of options to choose from. The biscotti is the best food there, especially if paired correctly with the coffee choices. There are quite a few Abraham Lincoln historical locations nearby. The service is usually a bit sad and so I would not come alone. It is not degrading or anything, there just seems to be a depressive attitude among the servers. This is overlooked by the place's atmosphere and generally good coffee/pastries though.”

“I go to Dairy Queen like every week I love that they change there blizzard every month and the workers were very nice to me.Kid-friendliness: When I started ordering all the worker were making mine ice cream right when they put the order in.”

“We don’t order monicals a lot only because there are cheaper pizza options in Monticello. That being said, we really do enjoy their family pleaser. I always get it with bread sticks with cheddar cheese. Also, we LOVE their tangy French dressing. I basically could drink it. ”

“Went in with a soccer team. The staff did excellent with us, the food was hot and out in a timely manner. The manager was awesome and even checked on us to make sure everything was good. We will definitely visit them again.”

“Food is good & Bar is unique.I usually order here every couple weeks. Majority of the food here is really good! I recommend the potato skins and nachos.I don’t really drink so I can’t say too much about the Bar itself, but the decor is honestly so adorable and awesome. Stuffed monkeys line the bar and tons of cool stuff to look at on the walls while you eat. Always a clean environment.Food is normally made quickly, and is delicious. Sometimes during lunchtime it can take a bit longer due to not a lot of people on staff. Take-Out is pretty quick, it gets busy here at night so expect a wait on food.Always comforting Bar food, and convenient for a small town.”

“We came across this place yesterday. Greeted by sweet Jake! Loved the drag strip (keep it around!!!) wii bowling and great bartender and drinks. Highly recommend and hope to come back. And maybe play some beach volleyball!!! Such a hidden gem in central Illinois”

“We had pizza delivered to the Piatt County Animal Shelter, in Monticello, for our Volunteer meeting! They brought the pizza all the way into our building and placed the pizza on our serving table. The delivery was on time and we had great service from the delivery driver!!”
