Food has always been great! I absolutely love the peanut butter and jealousy burger.Service is usually hit or miss and only walked out once.I still recommend this place to all. There's a little something for everyone.
I went to Honest Abe's for lunch on Halloween, based on recommendations from a pork tenderloin sandwich Facebook group to which I belong. Good tenderloins, or for that matter any tenderloins, in northern Illinois are hard to find. The decor gives appropriate credit to Abe Lincoln. So does this place having horseshoes and pony-shoes. For lunch I ordered the smaller, pony shoe. That was wise because it was huge. I had it with a pork tenderloin patty and some spiced-up cheese sauce....read full review

Excellent service, large portions, and the menu has I nice selection. I'd heard that their horseshoe plates are as good as the ones In Springfield. They did not disappoint! Very good! Would definitely go back!!
