“These guys here really care how the perfect the Chinese fast food at its finest cooking perfection, I really missed them. I been traveling everywhere in West Coast where lot of population of Asian food but can't find a decent healthy Chinese food at it fine dining too. I missed Henry & his wife..very caring in their cooking recipes. My favorites from them is Singapore noodle, egg foo young, beef & broccoli, lo mein noodle OMG perfection! Too many to list as I'm sitting in my sunny California home to list. I miss them so much. Bloomington/Normal is blessed to have China Star restaurants. Not much choice but only the best choice restaurant in the area. Now that I have moved & travels everywhere there's no place like Bloomington/Normal..for healthy eating out. I missed Illinois but not the cold snow...“
“Singapore angelhair is always on point(my favorite dish). I've been going to this restaurant for about 15 years. Hot and sour soup is amazing. Egg rolls are always great. Every lo mein is perfect and better than surrounding restaurants. I moved from Bloomington but everytime I go to town, which isn't often I make sure I stop and get some food for the family. My oldest son is 11 and he has been a consumer his whole life. He loves the shrimp fried rice. Husband and daughter love all the lo meins. Husband says the general tsos is better than any he's had. I introduced them to the best Chinese take out, Great Wall and they don't like their used to be favorites anymore. We live far away so when we order, its probably enough to feed a family of 13....but they don't mind and they never mess anything up. I've never had a complaint in 15 years!!!! Amazing service, amazing staff. Everything is always perfect. It looks "run down" but thats because the building its in but inside is always clean and spotless. I dont just recommend eating here, I highly encourage it.“
“We ate here last night and was pleasantly surprised at how good the food was!! Was recommended to try this place by a friend and I'm glad we did. Service was faster than expected and food was nice and hot when we got it! Ambiance inside the restaurant was a bit odd but you could tell it's a family owned shop which we love! Reasonably priced. Got 1 large meal, 2 small meals, an appetizer for a little over $50! Plus they threw in 8 free crab Rangoons since the order was over $45!“
“Love, love the orange chicken & super greens. The food is always hot & fresh.I'm updating my review due to the experience I had today. I ordered online to pick up food. When I arrived, I was told 5 minutes for the super greens. 20 minutes later, I had to go up to the counter to remind the staff that I was waiting.“
“I love this place! I've been going here for years and years. Always generous portions (we can make 2 meals out of each entree), hot food and fast service. Order the chicken and broccoli...you won't be disappointed, it's the best!“
“The absolute best hunan chicken you can find. Spicy but you can still enjoy all the different flavors. The crab rangoon is pretty tasty as well. Everything is made to order, not sitting in a warming pan under heat lamps. Takes a minute to get your food but most definitely worth it for freshly made entrees. They have daily lunch specials but I love the hunan chicken so much I can't order anything else.“

“I recently went to the Hy-Vee bakery looking for a cake for my sons birthday. As I was looking through the cake selection book I happened to look over and up behind the bakery counter and I saw the most fantastic cheeseburger cake. I spoke with Monika, and found out that it was a specialty cake that she had just added to display. I asked if it was possible to customize it as my son eats plain hamburgers and would find the humor in that and Monika was very accommodating. The cake turned out so amazing. Monika is so creative and the cake turned out so good. A big THANK YOU to Monika for being just so nice and accommodating but also a fantastic creator of beautiful tasty cakes!“
