“I stopped by to try out the pozole. I was prepared to be disappointed as I have been with most restaurant pozole. The bar is pretty high as I have a friend that makes it best homemade. I was pleasantly surprised at how delicious it was. The broth was not rushed which resulted in such rich flavors. Every spoonful was filled with meat and hominy as well thanks to the generous servings in the soup. The taste reflects the patience and love that it was made with. The price point was pretty amazing as well. I will undoubtedly come back for more.“
“Can't say enough about this wonderful place. The food is some of the best even against the great Mexican food in Chicago. From the moment you walk in, you can feel the love that exists. Drinks are some of the best I've had and the creativity is second to none. My wife and I really enjoy coming here trust me, when you're here you're family. Gracias“
“HOLY COW, this is a hidden treasure of a food spot in Oak Lawn! The atmosphere of the store is amazing and cozy. Great menu selection and the food is out of this world! I ordered the Chicken Burrito Suizo and a mango Fresca and everything is made fresh and truly made with love and passion!! The rice and beans were some of the best I’ve ever had too! Great job and will be back over and over again!!“
“Quality breakfast diner in Oak Lawn that's been around since I was a kid. I've gone here several times with my grandparents, and now just grandma since it became juts her. They have all the usual breakfast and lunch staples, but at a reasonable house, and you get nice portions. Last time I went I got the special skillet, with a sign of french toast. Easily fills you up, if you can even finish it all. I like how friendly and nice the staff and owners were to my grandma, who comes here quite a bit. They know her by name, and recognize her and treat her well, so that is always great to see. Has its own parking lot. We went prime time noon Sunday, yet still got a booth, though it was crowded. Definitely your go to place if looking for that old school feel in the Oak Lawn area.“
“so far the dishes we have tried are very good especially the Chilaquiles Rojas. Their horchata is the best I've ever had, their nachos are excellent & their Bistec ala Mexicana is also great. Fresh ingredients & prompt service!“
“Stopped in on a Thursday night, the place was empty. Sat at a table and fresh chips and salsa was brought over. The waitress was nice and friendly. I ordered burrito suzio and a tosata. When the burrito was brought to the table they forgot to add suzio cheese/sauce. The food was solid and atmosphere was ok. It wasn't a bad place to dine.Parking: 10 spots in lot“
“2/5/24 First of all, let me tell you that this was my first time here. I walked in and placed my order. Customer service is very pleasant and this place DID NOT DISAPPOINT! The food was made fresh when I walked in and the green salsa is good. Steak tacos, tacos de lengua and steak torta are very delicious. I asked for an order of guacamole but there were more ingredients in there than the guac it self. I can do without, next time. The order of rice has flavor, hot and delicious. The bagged carrots are delicious as well. This little hidden gem is absolutely perfect for me and my family! Watch out El Taco Sabroso #2 because we are used to placing huge orders. We don't play about our food especially when we find an amazing establishment who goes above and beyond with fresh, delicious food. Will definitely be back, again & again!!! Alejandra T.“
