“This was my first visit to Victory and definitely not my last! Food and cocktails were delicious and our server, Orlando, was the NICEST person! Thanks to the manager who took care of me and my bestie. Wonderful ambiance and friendly staff!“
“JOSE was our Waiter last night his service was impeccable! Smiles, jokes, makes you laugh, he waited on our party of 8 for 2 Birthdays, my Son and Mom, our party had various meals and everyone enjoyed! Jose always came back asking if we needed anything else, always made sure we had enough refills on drinks and making sure food was great. The restaurant is beautiful. Jose mentioned a dessert that crossed my curiosity. It was a Basil Blueberry Cheesecake. Now you would think spicy, not at all, it was delicious when you incorporate that savory and sweet flavors it was truly amazing! When I forgot the cakes, Jose had a plan B and made the Birthdays just as special. Thank you for making our 1st a Great Time! Will Definitely be coming back! The only thing that was a little difficult was finding a place to park, but other than that we asked after getting in and they do have a garage you can get your ticket stamped. Call ahead for parking.Hoping in the future that your restaurant might consider Valet Parking.“
“I enjoyed Vicolo Trattoria, the service was good, the ambiance was your basic Italian restaurant. They have a bar seating area and more tables in the back. They also have a large patio for seating outside in the summer that I can't wait to come back for. The food was great overall: we had the grilled calamari to start. It was just okay for me - I have had more flavorful grilled calamari before, but others may think the grilled calamari is great so it's really just personally preference. Entree: we had the lobster ravioli which was really tasty served in red sauce. Also tried the wrapped beef that my husband really liked. He asked for medium but it was probably prepared medium well - there wasn't much pink in it. Drinks: I am a margarita fan - tried the spicy pineapple margarita and it did not disappoint. It didn't taste too sweet and had the right amount of spice. Also tried the Mandarin dreamsicle - on the sweeter side and filling.“
“The waiter and cook that were working there acted like they knew how to really treat people. And they did. This place has good food and staff that acts like they want it to succeed. They cared about us as customers and they have future restaurant owners written all over them. The low volume 50's music told me these people know what's up“
“One of us had an outstanding Manhattan and the other prosecco to start. Always enjoy the warm crusty bread that's a prelude. We split a Seafood Linguini which was excellent . Since it was Oak Park Restaurant Week we got a free dessert. We had warm apple tart with vanilla gelato which was also very fine.“
“Pablo, our waiter, was exceptional. During our first visit here, he warmly welcomed us and showcased impressive knowledge of the menu, even extending to items not listed. He encouraged us to customize our meal to our liking, and he certainly delivered! For starters, we chose the grilled calamari and Rockefeller oysters. The calamari was tender and impeccably cooked, steering clear of the typical rubbery texture. Opting for balsamic instead of oil was a perfect choice. The oysters were superb, not overwhelmed with cheese. I ordered the veal picatta from the menu, expecting a thin slab, but was pleasantly surprised by the generous portion size. The angel hair pasta complemented the dish well, although I could have done without the mushrooms – a personal preference, which I should've mentioned. Nonetheless, if you're a mushroom enthusiast, they give you plenty. My boyfriend ordered off-menu, enjoying the Zuppe di Pesce with shrimp, clams, extra calamari, and rigatoni Diablo style in red sauce. It was absolutely amazing and satisfied his taste without being overly spicy. To accompany the meal, I had a glass of the house Chardonnay, which was light and buttery. Even my boyfriend, who doesn't typically drink wine, enjoyed it. Our heartfelt thanks to Pablo and the owner/chef Giovanni for an outstanding dining experience, both in terms of the meal and the service.“
“I have always had great experiences here. They accommodate your needs too! Not a fan of meat pizza and if they don’t have any veggie slices they are usually able to make it on the spot. No one else would do that! Especially not that spot on Roosevelt!“
“Booked a reservation for my wife and on Valentines Day. It turned out great. There was a live pianist that gave a great atmosphere. The service was great. We were checked on multiple times. Everyone was kind and respectful. The food was tasty. We would go back.“
“One of my favorite local pizza spots on the West Side next to Home Run Inn. I’ve tried many items on the menu and haven’t had a bad meal yet. The staff is very friendly. My order is also ready for pick up and delivery is always earlier than expected.“
“Second time coming; this time encouraged me to leave a review. Super sweet staff and made sure we were good/if we needed anything. Food is always really good and taste fresh.Parking: Parking lot is a little small but never had an issue parking.Kid-friendliness: Kid meals available“
“I have not eaten here in years. Decided to order a pizza for my birthday for my family. The dough at the bottom was so thick it took away from the delicious tasting sauce and cheese and sausage. This was a regular pizza I thought it would not be that thick. Probably should have ordered thin crust.“
“Dined here a few days ago, and Lou Malnati's in Oak Park never disappoints! Our server, April Diaz, was so accommodating and hospitable -- made us feel right at home. Mario and Dan are also extreme stand outs, as they've helped us in the past. A great touch by Ronnell, the manager, for stopping by our table just to say hello and make sure everything was being taken care of! Can't wait to return!!“
“Rustico's new space on Oak Park Ave. (in the old Oak Park Brewery) is incredible in terms of its aesthetics. Very open, high, exposed bow-tie roof trusses, reclaimed wood plank ceiling, a really cool floor (tinted concrete?), and exposed brick walls. Totally cool vibe indeed. Myself, my wife, and two 21 year old kids dined there 1.5 weeks ago and it was awesome. Upon arriving, we were seated immediately. All of the staff that helped us were great: fun, personable, and attentive. We ordered the seafood Paella, Carbonara, Fruitti Di Mare, and Braised Short Ribs. All seafood in the Paella and Fruitti Di Mare was cooked to perfection-nothing was the least bit rubbery and everything was quite savory. The Carbonara was so tasty and incredibly decadent (which, when ordering Carbonara, you almost expect!). The Braised short ribs that my son ordered were so good (based on his review), but unfortunately, decorum prohibits printing the words he used to describe his love of the dish herein. When the bill arrived, there was absolutely no sticker shock and in fact, my wife and I felt that the entrees were very reasonably priced (especially given their generous portions). I don't think that many diners leave this place hungry. Personally, I love Rustico as the food is awesome but the restaurant is anything but pretentious. We will most def be back soon! Jimmah!“
