Never on a mother's day2nd time on a mother's day food was over cooked and dry took a long time to get the bread and the food .they ran out of dessert on the menu if you order specific meals off of this menu you got a free dessert well your choice was ice cream. Because the waitress said they was out of everything else.If the customer is paying just as much money as the person that came earlier that day they should be allowed to get the same dessert. The fish dinner that was ordered was good but as for the ribs overcooked child's ribeye steak was good chicken strips for kids not so good.Prime rib not so good.

We did a private party in the back room with hors d'oeuvres and bar service. The staff was great. The food and drinks were great. Whether you're looking for a private party or a weeknight dinner, they've got you covered!

One of our favorite places to eat!The filets are very tender and always cooked to perfection.Hard not to have the Southwest Eggrolls as an appetizer.Don't forget the desserts! Peanut Butter pie is superb!?

The food side choices taste bland and were small portions. The bread was undercooked, and the service was scattered and quick, forgetting to bring some of our order. The ceiling shows signs of mold. Overall, for the price we pay I would expect better. The pianist live music was wonderful, very pleasing for the ambiance.

We traveled 106 miles for our Valentine dinner at the Possum Trot, as we have in years past. We are never disappointed with our visit. Also Sarah our server was excellent and made our meal a memorable occasion.⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

No Crab legs as menu offers, grasshopper and sweet chile shrimp was good. 16oz ribeye was very fatty and both it and potato under cooked. Food was so cold butter never did melt on potato. Pointed out to waiter the huge cob webs and dust bunnies all over the wall. He to thought this was disgusting and makes you wonder how clean the kitchen is kept. This wasn't just a little piece, wall was covered and had to accumulate over many months. Hadn't been there in years, more and likely won't be back for many more.

The food and the atmosphere were excellent! We had a King cut prime rib medium rare and it was perfectly cooked. The live piano player added to the classic supper club ambiance. We will be making this our usual spot for anniversaries.

I had ordered the queen cut prime rib and it was not good. It was like chewing a piece of leather. everything else was great.

We came here for dinner to celebrate Chinese New Year. The service is good and so is the food. I like the blackened chicken pasta the most. The restaurant a hidden gem in central Illinois.

We went to the Possum Trot last week for a family birthday. There were 11 of us in total. My stepmother loves it here, particularly for the live pianist on the weekends, so we go every year. The Possum Trot is one of those places that doesn't really change things up. So, if you came here five years ago, your favorites are probably still on the menu. They cook meats on a massive grill in the dining room. I love me a good pork chop and theirs is pretty epic - a massive double cut chop slathered in bleu cheese butter. The food is kind of hit or miss sometimes, ranging from average to pretty good. I've had chops with a heavy smoke flavor that was really great and some with barely any smoke. I've had a great medium, juicy chop (note to people of the world, PLEASE stop cooking pork chops to well done!) and some that are overcooked and dry. Also, portions can be inconsistent, even during the same meal. Several members of our family get chops and some come out massive and some merely really large. Mind you, even a smaller chop is still huge, but it's just inconsistent.Dinners all come with a salad and most (other than pasta, etc) come with a side. Mine was a huge baked potato, with what felt like 2000 calories worth of butter and sour cream. For my stepmother's birthday, they brought out a free slice of cheesecake that was large enough to rival Cheesecake Factory. Also included is fresh-baked bread that was really good. You will not leave here hungry. There's a couple of bars in the restaurant that seem pretty well stocked. I wish there was a drink or spirits menu though, as there was no way of knowing prices without asking about individual spirits. I'm a bourbon guy and a bar that stocks Stagg Jr. and Weller Special Reserve is great to see, though when we asked, the Stagg was $25 a pour, which seemed crazy. There's also a really pretty outdoor seating area when it's nicer out.The absolute highlight of this visit though was our server, Justin. My wife and I go to some pretty nice places around the country and rarely have we ever had a more pleasant and attentive (without being annoyingly ever-present) server. In late 2021, in the midst of a labor shortage, it's even more remarkable. Seriously, the best server we've had in a few years, anywhere.
