“This was the first time we stopped here since they remodeled the store. Now it's more open and spacious with sit down tables, clean washrooms, the usual excellent sandwiches, and cheese curds that are too die for. They also had a great selection of regional cheeses. Highly recommended if traveling through or local.”

“I go there because, I like the old furnishings the old fashion feel. It takes me back to the days when I was just a young boy eight years old my grandmother had an old café in Little Rock Arkansas. Those days are long gone, but I still get the feeling when I walk into the Corner Café the food is handmade, fresh, not frozen, which means a lot in this day and age. If you want good wholesome food with a wonderful atmosphere of country folk. Stop in and give it a try.Parking: I noticed there are about three stalls in front of the restaurant and to the side of the restaurant. There are about five stalls. And across the street in both directions there are parking lots available. So there’s plenty of parking as well as handicap parkingKid-friendliness: Yes, I believe this place is kid friendly. There is basically no where for the children to disappear on the premises as everything is wide-open there are several booths and there are stools at the counter, and a couple of tables. It is very cozy and family orientated Great for kids and parents.”

“This place is phenomenal! Every single thing we've ever ordered here is wonderful! The pickle fries? Amazing! Burgers and Sammy's? Delicious! But let me tell you about the pizza... even if we are in the vicinity of Monroe we somehow manage to make it here for the PIZZA! Oh but wait!!! They make this mustard in the yellow bottle there that is the best mustard I've ever had and I dont like any mustard but yellow so get something (I suggest the sheese curds) to dip in the MUSTARD! Karessa is efficient and quick with a pleasant smile and attitude! We look forward to our next visit ?”

“I was a little leery when we walked in. Place seemed to be filled with regulars and there was 1 person behind the bar. However, we were waited on within 2 minutes of sitting down and everyone there was friendly. Bartender was great. Food was good and fairly priced.”

“I can't say enough good things about Wishful. We always have a great time visiting. The beer menu always has a variety of styles and flavors to appeal to any taste. Top notch. Sprinkle in beer slushies and occasional food trucks in the summer and it's a great way to spend an hour or an afternoon enjoying the outdoor seating. Winter or weather not the greatest? Plenty of seating inside too. The atmosphere is always friendly. Penny and Nate do a great job. Feels like gathering with friends every time we go.”

“The people were SO nice but the service was REALLY SLOW. I think they were backed up so it's not all on them, maybe they were short-handed, but it took nearly an hour to get a wrap, coffee, and a burrito or something like that, and while the price was low, they were quite small. The ambience was really nice, like being back and mom's house. I did really like that. And again, the staff were very very nice.”

“Old jail turned into a bar. Nice local pub where people are friendly and food is good. The owner is usually there to welcome you. I love the soups and sandwiches. The brewery is right there and they give tours.”

“Like the down to home feeling there. Wished they served more than pizza. But do like that they try it get different things going on there to bring more people in. They have events like keoroke, pool and dart tournaments. Raffles and outside events. You can even rent it out for parties. Great place.”

“Beautiful old timey candy store with a variety of treats for all ages! I've been going there for years and I've never had a bad experience. The fudge, popcorn and cotton candy is all made on site and is all very tasty. I'm personally a fan of the savory popcorn flavors as well as the dark chocolate fudges(they have multiple dark chocolate flavors). There's also a variety of vintage candy that I've never seen anywhere else. Staff is always very helpful and friendly. They also make shakes and malts! I had never had a malt before going there, and I was definitely missing out. If you're looking for a place to get some sweets snacks or ice cream to beat the heat this is it! As it's located downtown there's benches outside to sit and eat at, as well as an inside bench if you prefer AC. The soda collection is also impressive, I'm not sure of the exact amount but they must have over a hundred different types. Overall definitely one of the coolest shops in Monroe.”

“Today was our first visit and it was excellent; Our waitress (a tall slim young lady whose name eludes me) was very courteous and friendly, my wife had the "steak salad" which she said was outstanding, I had the pork tenderloin that was the size of a Pontiac hubcap, and French fries, which also was excellent, and we had their hand battered onion rings...YUM! The prices are reasonable by todays standards; Oh yes, we'll be back!”

“AMAZING CATERING! We contracted with The Muse to cater a 50 person family event last Saturday. The dinner was Greek Themed and everybody absolutely loved it. Lamb kabobs, Greek Chicken, veggies, rice, a wonderful salad, Nan bread, pita chips all with homemade whipped Feta, Hummus and Tzatziki sauce! My formally trained chef/cousin from Lake Bluff dined at the Muse ahead of the event to sample their food and loved them. She felt their catering also was equally excellent! Josh and Dan personally set up dinner in our home. They each are super accommodating and personable. Their event spaces on-site look amazing! I look forward to future in person meals, drinks on their lovely deck and they will be our 1st choice for future catering needs. 5 stars!”
