“Good food. The staff was great. Didn't catch their names, but they definitely help by giving us their favorite dishes since we had never been there. LOVE all the different pictures on the wall of those who have or are serving our country and or communities. Very interesting to look at them “
“Went there last night for the first time. I tried the pizza bread and my mom tried the pizza bombs and they both came out a little burnt on the bottoms, but we didn’t say anything just ate around it and was still happy with the food! We paid and walked out and after getting almost block away one of the waitresses came running out and said she noticed the burnt pieces still on the plate, she asked if we wanted a reimbursement or some money off the next time we came. We opted for the money off next time and she wrote down our name! We really appreciated her noticing the pieces and giving us those two options as other places probably wouldn’t have said anything at all. Whether it came out burnt or not we definitely would have been back either way. It was really good and I can’t wait to try other things on the menu!“
“Haven't eaten at this long established restaurant inside Northwoods Mall since it was a set down restaurant with waitress/waiters to wait on you. The experience was much different then as it is now after the restaurant was reconfigured into a walk up, order and set down yourself style with plastic silverware, etc. They have a very large menu and have weathered the pandemic ordeal well it seems or they wouldn't have been able to expand and continue in business. I'm sure they have done what is prudent with what today's customer expects. I'm not a today's customer, but more old school. They continue to be quite popular in this market and that is very good, since I don't like seeing any business fail. Just isn't proper to want that to happen. As I've become older I find that BBQ doesn't appeal to me as it once did and even upsets the stomach. I continue to hope that this condition was short term, but afraid not. This being said I found the BBQ today no different. I found it strange that they piled the meat and sauce on the tray and not on the bun. You have to place the meat on the bun yourself. The fries were some of the best I've had in a long time. Home made and very good. I long for the old style restaurant, but I'm just old and times are changing and one has to change or go out of business.“
“We were promptly sat. Our server came andtook our drink orders. He was fantastic!! Our appetizer come out followed by our salads. At almost the perfect timing. The steak was cooked perfectly and the chicken tenders were excellent as always. Will definitely be going back“
“Always worth the almost 3 hour drive for us from Chicago. Everything we have tried has tasted great. We have tried the ribs, brisket, and wings, so delicious.True story, my son is a picky eater. I told him he was going to eat ribs because I wasn't getting anything else.I put 2 ribs on his plate and expecting to fight with him.He gave them a try and asked for more. Gave him 4 ribs, he ate those and asked for 2 more!He said they were good and so tender. This is coming from a teen that mainly orders Mac and Cheese wherever we go.Compliments to the chef!P.s. Don't forget to take some of their bbq sauce home!“
“Brisket nachos, brisket Mac and brisket sandwich and fries was soooooo good. Came out quick!! Good flavor not fatty. First time here and will definitely be back! Waitress didn’t come back and ask how things were she was busy behind the bar doing stuff. But when she brought the bill she thanked us. People were friendly. New go too atmosphere was great.“
