“Yoooo.....this place is so slept on! I popped in there over the holidays just to check it out, and have been going every week since. The service is ????. The food is ????. And the prices are decent. I like both locations, but the one on Sterling is my fave. Be sure to tip those hardworking folx!“
“Haven't eaten at this long established restaurant inside Northwoods Mall since it was a set down restaurant with waitress/waiters to wait on you. The experience was much different then as it is now after the restaurant was reconfigured into a walk up, order and set down yourself style with plastic silverware, etc. They have a very large menu and have weathered the pandemic ordeal well it seems or they wouldn't have been able to expand and continue in business. I'm sure they have done what is prudent with what today's customer expects. I'm not a today's customer, but more old school. They continue to be quite popular in this market and that is very good, since I don't like seeing any business fail. Just isn't proper to want that to happen. As I've become older I find that BBQ doesn't appeal to me as it once did and even upsets the stomach. I continue to hope that this condition was short term, but afraid not. This being said I found the BBQ today no different. I found it strange that they piled the meat and sauce on the tray and not on the bun. You have to place the meat on the bun yourself. The fries were some of the best I've had in a long time. Home made and very good. I long for the old style restaurant, but I'm just old and times are changing and one has to change or go out of business.“
“Ok...so the fried seafood (particularly the fish) and chicken (tenders moreso than bone in) features are primarily the prime plates of this spot. I LOVE LOVE the fried Catfish and Tilapia plates. Yummy. I'm from the South so this was an exciting Peoria find. However, with that said, here's the downsides: It's super expensive here...were talking over $20 if you want some sides and a drink. This is NOT A GREAT SPOT to take the whole family unless you just got your tax refund back and someone hit you in the head and knocked the sense out of you. And even though you're spending all that money, most dinners don't even come with simple stuff like lemon wedges and tartar sauce. Where do you do that at!? And I am not fond of the side items at all...It's about $7 for a small side of canned collard greens with absolutely no seasoning added ? Just stick with fries. The desserts were good in theory. But stale when tasted. But even with all those failures...once I get my taxes next year I'm still coming back for some of that fried fish only. Good luck guys...I'm curious to see what you think.“
“I called the store to ask about location and menu options! Gabby, who answered the phone, was very knowledgeable and professional. She even mentioned the January specials. My daughter and I headed over to place our order and Gabby was actually just as delightful in person. Helped us navigate through all of the options and sauces. We got the 10 piece traditional wings with a Honey sauce and garlic Parmesan sauce on the side. Both sauces and chicken was phenomenal. The fries could use something, seasoning wise! We also got the chicken strips with mild sauce and my son enjoyed them for sure! We also got the fried mushrooms but they honestly had no real flavor! Overall our experience was good. Customer service was great, 10/10 chicken and sauces great 10/10, sides 3/10.“
“As a student living on campus, my food options are pretty limited, but this place is always worth stopping at. I've tried at least 10 different things on the menu and all of them are AMAZING. Gyros full of meat and toppings, Philly steaks oozing with cheese and meat, seriously check this place out.“
“Very friendly owner. I had the personal margaritas pizza with Peppers. It was excellent! I'd say one of the best pizzas in Peoria!Kid-friendliness: A very wholesome environment! Sports memorabilia on the walls. And very clean and neat.Parking: Close, ample parking.“
“I love hot wings with all my heart so I know this review had to be made. Even though I chose BBQ this time I just want to say upon opening up my togo box that it was no mistake. You know how certain restaurants wings look slimy and undercooked? Not Richards… they literally have this method where they smoke the wings first and then throw in the grease after for a short amount of time to give the chicken a crisp effect. On the top of that the fries are seasoned!!!! Omg I even think they make a homemade ranch. So if you happen to be in that neck of the woods and craving some wings then, I would highly suggest stopping in! Oh yea sn I went on a Wednesday, they have a special where you get a pound of wings and fries only for $10. I’d say thats a steal.“
“Best wing spot in the city. They always get the perfect fry (IMO hard/crispy and still juicy inside) that stands up to to sauces and doesn't get soggy. They have the most sauce and flavoring options available in the area. All that I've tried have been really good. They have classic flavors like mild, garlic parm, lemon pepper and they have really creative combos like jun jun and vaya pickle ranch. They fry a good fish too. Call in orders can be busy sometimes and may take a few tries. Pop in to order if you're in area, they're pretty quick.“
“My friends and I spent the morning geocaching in Jubilee SP. and were starving by the time we trekked 10+mi. We aren't from the area, and after a quick Google search, we made the out-of-the-way 5mi ride over. We were not disappointed. We had the coldest beer that we could remember with some fried pickle chips to start. I had the pork tenderloin that now 2 weeks later, I can still taste how good it was. Onion rings went perfectly with it. My geocaching buds each had burgers, and they both said they were delicious. This is exactly the small town bar experience we wanted, and it was more than we bargained for. We'll be back“
“I did not try the food, unfortunately, the wings are on my list for the next trip! With an atmosphere that's utterly perfected, with a large indoor and a very large outside seating I can see this place hosting an amazing party experience ? service was awesome as well!“
“Erin and Dalon were very considerate about my diet restrictions and allergies. They read and confirmed that ingredients did not have any that I can not eat,They cleaned the work table and knives to ensure no cross contamination.Very good people.Food will be good when provided with care.Vegetarian options: The staff Erin and Dalon are really caring about not giving something you can't eat.“
“All I can say is OMG!! I walked in for the first time I was about to order shrimp. Uncle Sam himself said you know I also have the best chicken in town. So I took him up on it and ordered his six piece and fries with a soda special. When I tell you this chicken was so good, crispy and tender, seasoned to perfection. No extra grease on my plate. Fries were seasoned perfectly!!! I was so impressed by the quality. Hands down this is my favorite and for now on home to anything and everything I want fried. WORTH EVERY PENNY!!“
