First visit. This is an upscale Cracker Barrel, which is a good thing. There's lots of comfort food choices and a nice selection of salads. We started with the brisket filled potato skins which were excellent. I had the Heartland Combo which was a 5 star meal. It's smaller portions of menu favorites which includes a slice of their stuffed roasted pork loin, a smaller version of a parmesan crusted pork loin, and two heartland delights. All meal starts with an excellent coleslaw, warm apple slices, pumpkin spice bread, and rolls. I didn't save room for a desert which was unfortunate because the pie selection looked outstanding. I'll be back!

Food was divine! There was a problem with our order coming out initially, but our server Arianna more than made up for it in customer service!

The food is okay, portions huge - but we went on Easter for the buffet and it was overcrowded to the point that I wondered about capacity. The tables were so close together and there were so many chairs I had to weave a path through and still ended up squeezing between chairs and a wall just to get out of the dining room. Unpleasant atmosphere.Wheelchair accessibility: Not unless it's very slow. The gift shop outnfront is also crowded with merchandising and difficult to navigate even without accessibility equipment.

Our waitress was Liz and she was amazing. We had the kicken chicken ? family style dinner. It hit the spot on a cold evening. Great place for a home cooked dinner, when you don’t want to cook.

I called to make reservations for Easter and wasn't told that all they were doing was a buffet. At thirty five dollars a person, the food was horrible.Breakfast sausage leaves a funky after taste in your mouth. Scrambled eggs were watery.Just the worst experience ever going to Machine Shed. Will definitely never do the buffet again, but will definitely go back for made to order.

We went for Good Friday Fish Fry and it was anything but good. All the fish was dry and my daughter’s burger was raw! With so many things wrong the waitress didn’t let the manager know and charged us for everything, even though we couldn’t eat it. I am been to the Machine Shed in Wisconsin and it is so much better. Please don’t waste your money at the one in Rockford!

Servers have always been amazing. Big portions for breakfast and the country fried steak and chicken fried chicken are both amazing. Gotta love the tiny mason jars for syrup and the hasbrown casserole has great flavor. This is our go to rockford breakfast spot.
