We stopped by the Davenport location on a Sunday for our first visit, not a good experience.
1) Your limited to the buffet CAN NOT order from the regular menu.
2) the food on the buffet was cold, heck even the prime rib was cold.
We promptly notified our server which notified the manager. Which took the wife’s food and microwave it. And I was told the that the prime rib was cold because it was rare. Hummmmm!!!!
3) the management offered no compensation for this on our bill of sixty plus dollars for two. Which I’m not looking for a free meal but maybe taking the six dollars off for our drinks would have been a nice gesture and ensured another visit but after 2pm when the menu is available.
Should have listened to the wife and went next door to the Cracker Barrel.

Not bad food and decent for the cost. Massive spot but well priced. Good looking menu and good service even on a slow day. Kitchen is well run and food looks good. Luckily, food is priced accordingly.I got the Beef wellington, i can never pass it up. For $39 it lives up to the price tag. However misses the mark… slightly cold and quite bland. It is unfortunately covered in a bland cream that over powers any redeeming quality. Good ingredients, but then a frozen/ premade sauce on top just ruins it. So much potential, but no creativity. Make your own sauce or give it some color and you can charge 10 bucks more.Cheap drinks and good wine list make it redeeming. So much potential being off the highway… disappointing but overall solid.A good sauce would make it a must stop off I-90 Nothing else good in 100 miles.

Honestly, going to the Midwest is always a treat because those people have plenty of time on their hands to master the grilling of beef. The ribeye was cooked exactly the way it should be, with a beautiful char and excellent seasoning.I'm on the carnivore diet so I did not partake in the fresh bread or salad. But everyone in my party was very happy with their meal. If I'm ever in Rockford again you guys will see me once more!

I've been a loyal customer for over 20 years since moving into the stateline. I'm sitting and watching Prime and the TV ad comes up. Since when is any bar list curated?? Do you know what the word means? So you're telling your customers that the Bud Light you are serving was curated from Hayes Distribution company? And another great selling point is the patron at the bar with the huge tattoo on his arm! I think your establishment is now pandering to rednecks, hillbillies and bikers! I am done with nonsense placed in ads!! And I worked in advertising for 30 years so I know your ad is ripe!

Good food choices and serviceWe were a group of 13 able to sit together.
Our reservation request was not honered and we had to wait for seating upon arrival to the restaurant.It took quite a long time to meet our server and place drink orders once seated. She apologized when she got to our table, but then proceeded to ignore us the rest of the evening.Several larger parties seated near us received ample service. The wait time we had was uncomfortable.We watched our drinks and appetizers come out on a tray with another tables’ orders. She went back and forth between our tables serving our drinks and appetizers which was also uncomfortable.Once our food was received, the medium steak that was ordered was well done and the jambalaya my mother ordered was very spicy, and inedible. Normally not an issue to send food back, but our waitress never came back to check on us. We had to waive someone down to send one of the orders back. They apologized, and a replacement meal was ordered. The server finally came back to check on us after 15 minutes and was surprised that no one told her there was a problem with a meal.Around the same time we were told we would have to wait (again) for the replacement meal because the order went in after another parties order.At this point I split my meal with my mother.We asked for the replacement meal to be boxed, and for the bill. At this point it had been 2 hours and we were ready to go. Our waitress was (again) busy, so I had to go to the front of house to pay the bill. We should have been comped at least 1 meal for having to send it back, but were still charged the full amount.Normally we always enjoy eating here- but considering the apologies that were offered for the wait, we continued to have long wait timesfor everything while larger parties around us seemed to be prioritized.Sad to say but due to the lack of service and quality of food…this used to be one of my favorite restaurants but I will probably never eat here again.

Visited for the first time to celebrate a family members birthday. Absolutely loved it!! Our server, Kahn was friendly, knowledgable, & went above and beyond to take care of us! The food was delicious!
