“Yelis Bakery is my favorite bakery in the Round Lake area. Their bread is fresh and delicious. My favorite is a strudel like pastry filled with guava paste. Their tamales are also delicious. Everything is delicious ?”
“Absolute BEST FRIES! The Taste is one of a kind EVERYTHING IS FRESH MADE TO ORDER! The Hotdogs, burgers and beef are AMAZING! One of the last gems that has Truely good, unique soul food.Wheelchair accessibility: Floor is level with the parking lot!”
“A Storied place, legendary for its erstwhile pool leagues, with patron owners, a static stock of barristas and "Cheers" regulars, a kitchenette for pizza and wings, fairly lucky slots, live bands, bingo nights, and best of all, "Kevo" the maestro who runs Karaoke, sings withal, and DJs like a pro.”
“I only get pizza by the slice but it is delicious, 2 slices and a soda at a great price. Can't beat it. Always quick in and out too. No waiting. Only downside to this review is I now want pizza and I'm no where near it. Maybe lunch tomorrow lol.”
“Really enjoyed our food from here. Very authentic dishes. Pozole both red and green available..even saw Blanco as an open! Staff was attentive and hard working. My strawberry margarita was delicious (and eye pleasing!). We order often from door dash as well. We most recently stopped here on Christmas Day..was shocked and appreciative they were open.”
“Before I let you read review, this s*** happened last night.Only probably I noticed was this straight up d*** bish, they said her names mary; this guy was trying to help a dog and got it water, this d*** cunx was like blocking the dog from getting water, so i saw him get it spilled on him . Well he got kick out for trying to be considerate btw, he's one of the best singers around, but she is one of the most obnoxious cunx I've met in a long time, just her voice was worse than nails on a chalkboard going over and over in headphones like they should just use her voice as a torcher device to get people to talk because I was actually happy the night was over so I could leave and I hope i never hear that bishs voice again... I'd been happy if cops thought I was drunk... You get arrested and then she shows up on the women's floor and you go to play basketball in lake co jail and you'd hear her floors up and be like awe fuk me... Ok, now you're in hell. For what it is, for the most part, you will treated well, and you will most likely get get along with everyone. The tenders are fun and diligent, so you usually don't have to wait for a drink except when it's crowded; what can you expect when they are the only place still open... People are really friendly, and they have some good karaoke singers often come through. I like the place. They have food too and gaming and billiar tables. It's actually a really fun place to go.”
“Excellent place to enjoy a good breakfast and delicious pancakes. The dishes are very well served and the service is excellent, a family and warm atmosphere. I highly recommend it.”
“This places is amazing! Everything I have tried so far is delicious. The staff is so friendly and make you feel so welcomed. I will definitely be going back again and again. Love this place. ?”
“We tried this place for the first time. We needed a sourdough baguette. We also picked up pastries and drinks there. Everything was very good. The almond croissant was delicious.”
“Impeccable. Fantastic. Bussin'.You haven't had fried chicken like the Korean Fried Chicken served here. It definitely rivals American Southern Style. The food is so good we ordered some to go right after our meal. A great choice for Sunday night football or a guys night in gaming. Ladies, I don't know what y'all do.I got the Red Hot Pepper Chicken. The heat slowly builds while you chew, but is mellowed by a light sweetness at the beginning of every bite, making you want more.My girl got the Lemon Green Onion. The touch of citrus went really well with the mellow sweetness of the sauce leaving an almost fresh taste to a fried dish.Caring, enthusiastic and energetic Owner followed by kind and attentive wait staff.Seriously, homie is all over the place (in a good way). Behind the counter and at the table face to face; his interaction with us was comical and heartwarming. He went through the whole menu (large selection) and explained the varieties of fried chicken, recommended sauces, and alternative dishes if chicken ain't for you, nerds.Vegetarian options: I think it's hilarious to recommend a fried chicken restaurant to vegetarians. So yes, please come here. There are some options for y'all but not a lot. Mostly potato related items, cheese dishes if your diet allows it and Korean pancakes (savory). Seafood?Sincerely, good luck.Parking: It's a ducking mall dude. There is plenty of parking. To be closest, go off of Hawthorn Ctr. Northern side of mall.Google maps itKid-friendliness: Very understanding and patient staff to otherwise undeserving patrons.Cute kid running around, wrong place to do it though. Unbothered parents, specifically an entitled mom who says "oh, he's fine" until he slips and bust his head or breaks the expensive ? service robot they have. This lady had the huevos ? to give the dude attitude when he points out the kid chasing down Mr. Roboto and then is at the shop exit. She said "maybe we'll just leave" ?Bro, this is not "your village", it's a fried chicken chateau ?, raise your damn kids.Wheelchair accessibility: Yurrr. Y'all can roll up easy once inside. They can move some chairs aside. I got no smoke for y'all, I don't wanna get cancelled. But we can all agree we don't like vegetarians.I'm just kidding, grazers.”
“Such an amazing fusion of flavors! I cannot recommend Feather Glass Wine Bar & Eatery enough! Absolutely loved every flavor, over two appetizers and entrees. Paired with excellent recommendations from the owner, this is an experience not to be missed!DO get the desert, the house made blackberry sauce goes best on everything. We loved it and you will too!The ambiance is great with knowledgeable and courteous staff, and positive/upbeat energy throughout. We will keep going back until we've tried everything and then keep coming back for our favorites!”
“My family visited back in January. I live several states away. It was so good, I am looking forward to revisiting to enjoy another incredible meal next time I’m in town!”
“I miss that place ?I move down south... There taco salad and the steak California burrito are sooo good not just those but all there food is good..And the workers there are great...I you to good ther two to three times a week...”
“Very friendly people work here and make you welcome from the get-go.Had the chorizo casserole. It was delicious and filling. Had a $2 16oz Hamms as well. They had PBR and Stroh's as well.In addition, they have poker machines for entertainment.”
“First time at Tonality. Early dinner. Molly was our server and had 2 excellent reco's. For me it was the Gnocchi which was a plate cleaner. The combo of gnocchi with mushroom and asparagus was smart. The sauce was lemony and tasted a bit like vinegar which I liked. My wife had the pork Schnitzel with spatzel. The breading was dark and tasty. The portion was huge. She loved it. I had a tasty Amber Ale with dinner. Cool brewery atmosphere in an open space. Highly recommend.”
“Burts is the real deal. I lived in Chicago for the last 25 yrs and have found a spot that rivals the best spots Chicago has to offer. The Yummy, hands down best sandwich I've ever had. Go see Ralph and find out for yourself.”
“After growing up within the Latino community, eating authentic Mexican dishes, and learning how to cook within that community, I'm pretty particular about the Mexican food establishments I give my hard-earned cash to, because I know what good Mexican food is and it is often not what you get...Cinco Hermanos gets my money happily! As such, I often have certain requests that may not be on a menu, but I know are doable, based on my knowledge of Mexican cuisine. Not only do they happily receive my request during my phone order, the request is always executed correctly and to my liking. My husband doesn't like certain things in his burrito, and when ordering from other places, those things were either in there, or replaced with other "fillers." He orders the same exact thing every time, so he has often been disappointed...and his requests are easy like no lettuce and no rice inside the burrito...no biggie, right? The first time we ordered the way my hubby likes his burrito, from Cinco Hermanos, not only did they get the order right, they added some extra meat in the burrito as the "filler." That's customer service and attention to detail right there!I love that their tacos ARE NOT GREASY!! We love tacos al pastor, but they are often bathing in grease, which is actually just laziness on the cook's part...I know, because I make them at home, often. I usually don't like to order carryout tacos as a result, because they arrive home soggy and greasy...NOT the experience I've had at Cinco Hermanos! The tortillas rarely have any extra grease on them and the meat is the same. Any tacos I've ever ordered from them arrive home intact, non-soggy, and as delicious as if they were just prepared in my own kitchen!I also really enjoy their green salsa...it tastes like homemade. You can tell that they used fresh ingredients and that it was made in smaller batches. It's hard to explain, but trust me when I say it is one of the best green salsas I've ever had, including some homemade authentic versions. It's a little warmer than most, so be prepared for that, but it is crave-able!If you're looking for a stellar caldo de res, this is the place! Not only did it taste like the thousands of caldo's I've enjoyed in Mexican kitchens over my lifetime, it was served the way you'd be served in said kitchen...plenty of meat and veggies in that delicious broth! My typical experience ordering caldo to-go, is a container with a lot of broth, one or two small pieces of meat, one small carrot, more cabbage than anything, and half a potato...not even enough meat to make a decent taco to eat with the broth. I ordered this one weekend I was sick, and let me tell you, it hit ALL the right spots! Rich broth with an abundance of meat and veggies...exactly the way it would be served in my home kitchen. I was floored when I opened the container and saw it, and then more pleasantly surprised when I tasted it...perfection! Just know that it's only available on weekends and totally worth the wait! Oh, and one of my requests, LOTS of limes, was absolutely fulfilled, happily. Hats off to this place for great customer service!I've not had one thing on the menu that has displeased me, nor has my husband. Not one.Not only is the food delicious, the service is impeccable. I have certain requests when I order carryout, not excessive by any means, just certain things we prefer, like only green salsa and no plastic utensils necessary. At other places we've ordered, 8 out of 10 times, there's a bunch of red salsa in the bag - along with the green - and a bunch of plastic forks that end up in our garbage can. EVERY SINGLE TIME we order from Cinco Hermanos, the instructions are followed to a T, which tells me that they're good business people and not throwing their money in our garbage can. As a business person, I find that smart, admirable, and a likely indicator of how they run their business on every level. Here's a good "tell" if a Mexican restaurant ”
“Absolutely love this place! I had no idea it was 100% Gluten Free, when searching for Gluten-free restaurants, this one doesn’t show up. But because it’s entirely GF, it would be awesome to add this to the Google Business account so it appears on searches.Vegetarian options: Tons of delicious veggie options.Dietary restrictions: 100% Gluten Free, options for every diet.Kid-friendliness: Great food that kids love!”
“Far better than your average greasy food taquiria. The owner was incredibly nice and helpful. I ordered an El pastor taco. I usually do flour tortillas instead of corn but since they make the latter in house chose that instead. 100% the correct decision. Never had a corn tortilla so fresh and tasty. The pork wasn't greasy and had superior flavor. On a whim also ordered the Korean taco with bulgogi spices and cabbage slaw. AMAZING flavor and texture. Got a carne asada burrito for my wife. You can tell they use superior Angus beef..it was top Notch in flavor and consistency.HIGHLY recommend this eatery. Will be back whenever I'm in the area.Parking: Easy.”
“The food, atmosphere, and customer service are phenomenal. I am incredibly excited to keep coming back. This is a new favorite!Vegetarian options: There are veggie and Paneer options which are a breath of fresh air and add options.”
“Incredible authentic Philly cheesesteaks. Beyond that, the service is awesome too - the owner/staff are so friendly and attentive. This has quickly become one of my go-to spots. 10/10 would recommend.”
“This restaurant/bar boasts a charming ambiance and an eclectic menu. The entire staff was delightful, and our server was particularly kind. The Bloody Marys were spot-on. The food was delicious and served in generous portions. Leaving room for dessert was a great decision, as we absolutely loved the Huckleberry Pie.”
“Absolutely wonderful!!! It was 10:30 on Thursday place was packed like it was Sunday after church. Tonya our waitress was on point. We had 4 people so we split up on 2 tables. The pancakes awesome! The biscuits and gravy best ever. I could have eaten just gravy. It was that good!!”
“This is a really special place and so needed in this area. We were instantly hooked after the first visit a week ago and couldn't wait to return today. We've had about 5 different menu items and have loved the taste and freshness. Plus the staff is incredibly kind!”
“Love stopping here for gluten-free/dairy-free treats ? Service is always great + the desserts are so rich + full of flavor. Highly recommend the matcha bar + the tiramisu if you like chocolate. I have celiac disease and it can be a challenge to find gluten-free desserts that aren’t highly processed. Love this place! ??”
“Been here several times always fresh and consistent portions. If you're a fan of sushi and Japanese style appetizers but looking for a Subway restaurant style of informal dining ...a quick bite to eat, without all the overhead in service and prices, then I suggest trying this place. My favorite is the deluxe salmon bowl with the black rice. The fish is very fresh and I like the crab and seaweed salad. This has a very savory without being overpowering a true umami kind of tasting food. No overkill on making it hot or spicy. The meals include complimentary self-serving of miso soup. The prices are very reasonable for the amount of food you get. In my opinion it's a great sushi bowl at Subway prices.”
“We had our wedding reception at The Barrel Room @ Harbor Brewing Company, Lake Villa.Firstly, let me say that the staff is incredible, passionate, and extremely supportive. Not only do you sense that when you are enjoying the public bar facing Cedar Avenue, but you feel that especially when you host a private event in their premier entertainment space: The Barrel Room.We worked with Alyssa from start to finish. She is an incredible person, helping us every step of the way. She made incredible suggestions to us, relieving a lot of our stress from the experience, which you cannot put a price on.The overall atmosphere is incredible. What they were able to achieve with their beautiful space is going to liven up downtown Lake Villa. We held our ceremony at Lehmann Park and our catering was from Galati's next door to HBC. (Please check out Galati's and my review for them.)Between Harbor Brewing and Galati's, downtown Lake Villa has two 'anchor' establishments that will surely cultivate an incredible future. My wife and I will be visiting often to enjoy a pint and some of the best Italian food from Galati's.Thank you, to the HBC staff. Thank you to Alyssa. Our wedding could not have been what it was without you.”
“Wow! Eating here right now. Have driven past a million times in my work truck never had a chance to stop. We stoped in on a Saturday for breakfast on tue way to Gurnee. Food is amazing!!! Got stuffed biscuits n ”
“The service here was excellent, and the food was beyond my expectations!! I got a Denver omelet and some raspberry cream cheese crepes. Wow, they were so good! It was a busy place on a Saturday morning, but we got seated after only a five minute wait. I would definitely go back again.”
“You walk in to tastefully but simply decorated dining experience. Add to that a very pleasant young lady with her sweet Cuban accent welcomes you.I had garlic chicken, my son had the rib sandwich. Both were great. May be a bit more chicken in the sandwich would have put over the top. Also coffee was made to order fresh and hot with real cream.Parking: No issuesRight front of restaurant there are about 1/2 a dozen spots.”
