“Fun place. The outside looks like a barracks, but inside it's a hive of activity. Kitschy advertising signs - Sinclair Oil, Eastern Airlines - vie with Elvis and Marilyn for wall space. Very attentive wait staff, and a pretty extensive menu.I got the fisherman's breakfast: 2 eggs, toast, potatoes and choice of catfish or walleye. It was good, but when I saw the bloke at the table next to me eating the catfish sandwich, which featured 2 large filets on slabs of marbeled rye, I made a mental note to order that next time I'm passing through Springfield. My daughter had the most attention-grabbing dish: a chocolate chip pancake as large as the 33 1/3 vinyl records also on the wall.“

“Had breakfast buffet. It had eggs, bacon, sausage, pancakes, syrup, jelly, biscuits, gravy, sausage and hash browns. For $10 including tax. Pretty great for an all you can eat breakfast and a great way to try their food out. Restaurant was clean and busy, and staff were working hard and friendly. Located inside a bowling alley so expect noise if you're there during bowling hours. I enjoyed it all.“
