“I came for a late lunch. Not many people in there , but server helped us right away and took our food order immediately. Food came out quick but not too quick. Fries were incredible. Nice seasoning on them and tasted real. Burger was awesome. Really cooked well high quality meat and a toasty bun. Very very good meal. Would recommend 10/10. Will be back if ever in toutopolis.”

“Best little pub I’ve ever been in. Super clean and quaint, great decor & ambiance, unbelievably amazing staff, fun games, great drinks, incredibly affordable prices. The vibes are super fun! My boyfriend and I stopped in here on a cross-country trip (we stayed in the attached Airbnb which was amazing), and it was one of our most memorable nights of the journey. We really love it here! Customers and bar staff felt like family! Gooo T-town!”

“We stopped here for a late dinner while passing through town and were not disappointed! The food was delicious and the staff was warm and welcoming. We sat at the bar which provided a fun atmosphere, allowing us to watch meals be prepped and plated, and chat with the staff about the food. They make their pasta in house and import ingredients from Italy - this place is the real deal! We tried the deconstructed grilled cheese (amazing), a pasta dish and pizza so that we could try a little bit of everything! We also had bread pudding and gelato for dessert - 10/10. If you’re on the fence about trying out Lucia’s, don’t be - just go!”

They made. a vegan wrap for my daughter, and the rest of us got drinks for the roadEverything was excellent, the store is neat and cutely decorated, and the staff was super friendly. I would go out of my way to stop by there again. If I lived in Effingham, I would be a regular. No big city coffee shop has anything on this place. Take a detour off the freeway and check it out.”

“I came here for the first time, and it’s one of the best restaurants I’ve been too, good food, friendly staff, ESPECIALLY Juan. This place needs to give that man a raise. He’s so friendly and even taught me a few Spanish words. He grew my interest in learning Spanish because of how much he interacted with to not just me but my friends kid who just LOVED all the new Spanish words she learned. He’s very sweet and always smiling. Best waiter I ever had in my life. “I feel like it must be a frustrating place to work, because the last several times I’ve been to this particular subway I have one very cheerful person take my money and one very rushed employee kinda toss the food bag at me and run away without saying a word.Since it’s been different employees every time, I think the problem is either I’m an obnoxious customer, or the employees are set up to fail. Could be both.”

“Picked up donuts through the drive thru window and got the assorted dozen. It's been hard to find really good donuts here in central Illinois, I've relocated from northern Illinois where there are a lot of great bakeries. These donuts were great and reminded me of what I missed up north. Fluffy, fresh donuts...YUM!!!”

“Came to visit Effingham for the first time just a random day trip. This place was on my to go list. The drink prices are pretty cheap, the only downside to that was some of the patrons that appeared to be regulars were way too drunk, no such thing as inside voices. They yelled at another another which was a tad bit annoying...cursing like pirates. The gaming room/area wasn't as big as I'd like it to be.. maybe like 6 chairs elbow to elbow. They had a dj, the music was good..overall I enjoyed myself outside of the yelling. Id be willing to try it out a second or third time. Oh and yes I won some monies.”

“The place has been around and popular way before I was around. This place was a big thing when my mom was a kid and young adult and the same goes for me too. I would come and play pool during the day and drink kiddy cocktails and eat blooming onions. It was a blast every time. Now on the occasion my child comes to hang out and do the same. Childhood memories here. Will never forget this place.Kid-friendliness: Only during the day time hours on week days.”
