Some years ago, the Illini Union renovated the exterior courtyard into extended interior seating space for students. This included the addition of a Starbucks location. The staff at this location seems to be well trained and managed because they are always friendly and very adept at getting orders out. Amazing experience here. Never have I ever been treated like a king, and I can die in peace now. They know what a perfect matcha is and I will never have a matcha drink like this again unless its specifically made by Om, Ava, Alex, and Priscilla. Thank you guys!

Look, it’s a Starbucks in the middle of a large university’s student union. It will be slow, but that’s okay. Products are good and when I was in school they always had a board with a “name of the day” offering a free drink if you have that name.
