“Bar/restaurant atmosphere can get loud at times. Minimal wait times even when it looks busy. Staff is outstanding! Very prompt and attentive. The Friday fish fry is one of the best around. Overall a very well run establishment.”

“Loved SLYCE Pizza. My wife and I are big fans of coal-fired pizza. Where I'm from in the NYC tri-state area, the best Italian food is in neighborhood family tavern restaurants and those thin crust tavern pies are cooked in super hot ovens. SLYCE brings it all back. Quality ingredients, great suggested combinations, good service and pleasant ambience. There's a lot of pizza choices in Chicagoland and we drive 25 minutes to SLYCE. There must be at least 100 pizza joints in the 25 mile radius. I'll take SLYCE. Keep up the great work!”

“Well, been passing by this place forever and this time we decided to stop in. Very sparse parking so we asked where to park and immediately the female bartender came outside and pointed to a few locations. She must have been an owner because it is rare and doubtful an employee would be so accommodating. Moving on..... We were seated, by the very nice and conscientious female bartender. She asked for our drink order and gave us menus........ So far so good......The food..... Corn Beef and Cabbage Dinner-Outstanding Monster Burger-Incredible Ruben-Great Patty Melt- Delicious Absolutely excellent all around. Not a single negative comment from anyone in our party. Oh, yeah! There was a gentleman talking to some people at the bar and was showing the coolest DUCK model to his friends. Said his buddy made them and was selling them for $5. My buddy immediately jumped up and bought it and asked for another one. Well the gentleman left the bar. Damn... no duck for me....... Hold on...... He returned with another duck in hand. I snapped it up and thanked him. That doesn't happen nowadays. How cool is that. The entire experience of that bar/grille was that of a typical Chicago old neighborhood tavern. Great people. Great food. special nod to the female bartender. Awesome lady who "gets it." We'll be back.....again and again.”

“Burger and fries were okay. The burger had a wannabe Au Cheval style thick cut bacon but I think they fried it. Server was kind and attentive. Beers were decent.”

“I stopped in for a quick bite to eat at lunch. It wasn’t too busy since it was pushing 2:30, I sat at the bar and had great service by the bartender. You can tell a lot of regulars come here, lots of very friendly people stopping in and it made me feel at home.Really pretty views out the bay windows of the lake. I bet warm summer afternoons here are amazing.Ordered an iced tea, burger and fries. The burger was a tad well done but the meat still had great flavor. The Thousand Island dressing I got on the side was definitely bottled so not my favorite, but the fries were seasoned well :)I’ll be back soon to try something different next time… and a cocktail.”

“My husband Brian ordered the Baked Penne with meatballs tonight 6/20/23 excellent meal! He loved it and has enough left for another meal! Was nice and hot and he will be back for sure! Keep up the great cooking!!!!”

“Great food! Great prices too! This place has so many options on the menu. Had the Chicken Greek style. It was very good. $3 margaritas too. Jennifer was our waitress she was very friendly and very attentive. Our food was prepared fast and delicious! The weekend has live entertainment. We will be back!”
