“Went to Mike's Tavern in West Peoria IL for lunch today. This is a small hole in the wall bar and grill. You first think of a two and a half garage that someone turned into a bar. You would be close . The owner is happy to tell you the history of the place. I had their Tenderloin. Crispy crust, toasted and buttered bun. On the thin side of tenderloins but still thicker then most. Just comes with chopped onions and at least a dozen pickles. No lettuce or tomatoes. Husband had the Double Cheeseburger. Once again only chopped onions and pickles. We shared an order of Truffel Oil Fries. Hot and crispy. They were hard to stop eating! Normally these are Parmesan Truffle Oil Fries but they were out of Parmesan. Definitely worth a stop in for lunch. Kitchen isn't open on Monday or Tuesday. Small menu but food is GOOD EATS!”

“The drinks were good, but we were never approached by a waiter, so had to go to the bar for all our drinks. They have nice outside seating, but after a while, you can't exit. The 3 gates were locked!!! Made me think, what if there's an emergency??!! We won't be back.”

“We came along way and buy it be a New Year’s Eve. We didn’t look forward to coming to Peoria not having anything to do when we arrived. There were only like four cars in the lot so we figured we were pretty early for the New Year’s bash security at the front door said there was a $25 cover fee. There was no food and he said that there were only three people in the bartender inside, which disappointed me to the bottom of my heart when I come back to Peoria, maybe it will be a more greater experience being that they won’t be charging people at the door who in the world would pay $25 or New Year’s Eve and you didn’t even have food we didn’t come from Chicago to visit somewhere as such so waste of money not knowing what the atmosphere would be like once the crowd picked up, and since we werethe first ones in the crowd to be there before midnight. You could have at least let us in for free because just a couple hours after New Year’s you were packed that was the most ghetto thing I had ever heard of.”

“Always a must stop when I am in town. Nice bar to "Get away" from your typical bigger sports bar. Bartenders are all very nice as well as the people. I will always stop in and enjoy the atmosphere.”

“Had the pleasure of eating here on vacation last week. Had the Sunday special of all you can eat wings. Tried the Cajun rub first and then the house special blueberry moonshine BBQ. Amazing! Didn't like the street corn salad, but that's bc down here its warm and not sweet. Just a personal preference. Everything we tried was fresh and looked good. The best part of the experience was the server, believe his name was Blane. Best service I've had in forever anywhere I've gone! Thanks!”

“We had a group of 8 women there for lunch. What a fantastic deal! Everything on their lunch menu is $8.00, which includes a BIG sandwich or item along with one side. VERY GOOD FOOD!!”

“The best oysters I've had in a long time! Excellent service, the food was spectacular Maple Leaf Farms Duck, Steak Diane, scallops, Chicken Orleans. Outstanding dessert, Chocolate Mousse, Panna Cotta. I was here for my birthday and Chef Todd cooked my Cherries Jubilee tableside! The owners are hard working hands on and very personable. The cocktails, Old Fashion,Gin Royale, Manhattan classic cocktails made perfectly. I cannot say enough for the all around experience of this establishment.”

“Hands down the best lunch in Peoria for the price and food quality. It is amazing and the cost is not much more than a fast food combo. Try the shrimp and grits or the brisket sandwich. They even have a gluten free crustless quiche and salad combo.”

“We have been to Weaver’s twice with big groups and the food both times was excellent and so was the service! Recently just there Jan 7, 2023 with a group of 12. Our server did an amazing job! Food came out much quicker than anticipated with that big of a group and was excellent! If you haven’t tried the lemonade shake ups- they are awesome! I recommend Weavers if you haven’t tried it you should!!!”

“Birria tacos were great and the Carne asada burrito was probably the best I've tried in town. The beans were a little runny(doesn't bother me though) but the Spanish rice was well seasoned and perfectly fluffy(best ive had down here period.). Guy in the front was friendly and it was clean.”
