Great place for breakfast so far. Food was good, service was excellent. The atmosphere is so clean and well lit. Homemade tenders were seasoned to perfection. The la Mexicana steak platter came with hash browns and eggs your way and toast. The steak was good but a little tough. Country fried steak was nicely portioned and good, according to my daughter in law.
This place greatly surprised me! The newest owner has worked to make the inside spacious and a rustic modern. Service was great and ambiance was calm after the morning rush before weekend lunch. Great Italian skillet, good avocado burger, and good hot chocolate. I absolutely loved the photographs of yesterday's East Chicago and the harbor. Don't let the construction stop you.
