What I love most about Flat Rock Tap located off Calumet Avenue, in Hammond, Indiana, is the regular Thursday night Open Mic's hosted by Marc Adrian. They run from 7pm to 10pm or a bit later. Mr. Adrian holds his own on acoustic guitar, but many other amazing local musicians drop by and share their talents with the audience. The service is terrific and the drinks are reasonably priced. I stopped in this afternoon and was greeted with friendly customer service…I ordered the burger sliders for my children and the tuna on texas toast for myself..The tuna was fresh and the bread wasn’t soggy.. it was the perfect ratio of tuna to bread lol ? We were told by several people to go to Flat Rock and have one of their burgers. It was one of the best burgers I have had in that area. Saturday special is a burger and side for $6.50. The hand cut fries are my wife's favorite.Bartender was great, my beer never went empty.
