“I loved the food, the service, the waiter was very nice and attentive. I recommend to anyone their green salsa is immaculate it's sooooo good it's not spicy but if you like spice they have the red salsa.I absolutely loved the food, the service, the waitress was very friendly and attentive. “The Birrierias were small yet yummy! At the time of my visit they didn’t sell extra toppings like hot peppers, and avocado slices, etc. If they did this would knock their food off the chart! The restaurant is small and my server was nice.I feel they’re a small business that has the potential to really expand into a huge business!Parking: Limited parking spaces.“
“Everything we got from here was absolutely delicious. Jalapeno and cream cheese bread was amazing! The flan , churros, and some other goodies were just so good. Highly recommend stopping in for some bites and drinks served there as well by Cielito Lindo Cafe.“
“Small place but we really enjoyed being able to sit in front of the kitchen. More of an option in Chicago so big thumbs up there. Steak tacos we're on point. Not dried. Hints of lime and definitely juicy but......... the chorizo tacos stood out over all. Bursting with flavor and cooked perfectly. My wife stated they made her feel like she was back in Mexico. Both tacos were a stand-out at this restaurant. Bottle sauce seemed roasted and gave a nice back to all the tacos we ordered. Highly recommend the Chorizo or Carne Asada for any dish you chose from this dive but dime in Hammond. Al Pastor, and Tripe are solid choices as well. The pork was tender and the tripe was cooked on the plancha until it had the perfect crisp.After posting this saw more reviews aside from my wifes in person but stating "reminds me of Mexico"“
“So I'm a big taco lover specially asada and today I tried their asada tacos and all I have to say BEST TACOS IN HAMMOND..yes I have tried them all so with certainty I can highly recommend street shack your go to for asada tacos and that salsa literally FIRE so delicious...I'll be back soon for more.“
“The food is always delicious. The people that work there are so sweet and friendly. Right now, the parking is challenging because of the road work surrounding it. Also, it's best to make sure your order is correct. Have them say it back to you because I've had my order wrong a couple of times but they nicely corrected it for me. I do feel we should support them. Their food is delicious.“
“So the food here is well seasoned and everything you'd want but the service is very slow. I can't blame the staff because you can tell they're working hard. I would highly recommend ordering ahead of time so you don't wait. The horchata and gorditas are delicious!“
“You must check out this small Mex place. We had the Flautas dinner (which was three extra long Flautas) and opted for beans only. We love beans and always on the hunt for good ones. Also, we tried the pork tamale (very good and the masa was tasty) plus a carne asada tostada and it was loaded. The owner was wonderful and was attentive and kind. They offer a nice range of menu options that I need to come back for. Next I will be back on the weekend for the Pozole.“

“OMG, my brother and I got the steak fajita's, they were absolutely delicious. Like heaven in your mouth. But they have many more entrees, which if I had a bigger stomach, I would have ordered more but they give you free chips and a warm salsa, excellent and they refilled it twice for nothing. The waitress was so friendly withe the warmest smile, very kind. I love the experience and I plan on going back many more times“

“I placed a large order \ catering order for a work party for the first time. Ordered 3 kinds of tacos, large tray of rice, and toppings and salsa for the rice. Everything turned out amazing and packaged nicely and they even offered to help me take it to my car. Thank you Fuerte!! I haven't been here in a couple of years since I graduated from Purdue but I think the food tastes even better than I remember.“
“Downtown Hammond doesn't have much to offer. This is our go-to spot for breakfast and lunch. I am a Pescatarian, so during lent I had more options. But I absolutely love their shrimp tacos. I can enjoy the veggie tacos, bean tostadas, veggie skillets for breakfast I love the options.“

“Food is delicious I been coming here for over 6 years now and the only thing I hate is that they keep raising their prices. Olmost $4 dollars for a tongue taco that ridiculously over priced. If they keep it up they are going to loose their clientele. Other than that food is GREAT“
“The restaurant is very clean. Very nice staff, very attentive. I ordered tacos de canasta, and they were delicious. The quesadillas de maza are delicious ?. My husband ordered coctel de camarones, and it was very, very good. I will recommend ? everyone to come and try their delicious food. They have late hours. Plus, each day they have the special of the day come and check it out.“
