I haven't been to a Steak 'n Shake in several years. I was looking forward to the great service and amazing burgers and fries I remembered. Sadly the memories were better than the reality. You have a computer screen that you order and pay at with no human interaction. The food was lacking in size and taste, you now scan a QR code to get your drink. I would like to say I'll revisit it, but the truth is, I would rather keep my memories.
It's all self serve now.Place your own order, scan your receipt so you can get your own drink.Server does bring it out to you. But it's now in a plastic basket.No more real plates.Still great fries.And steakburger taste is the same but I miss the service & china.

Tannis made this experience awesome. You seldomly find good employees that actually care, let alone excellent employees and that's what Tannis is. She was attentive, helpful, and extremely friendly. She deserves easily $5 more an hour than she makes. We will be returning because of how excellent this experience was.
