Stopped here for a late lunch/early dinner. Had to wait a half-hour for a table outside (the pup was with us), but it was well worth it. You'd expect the beer to be good, but the food was extraordinary. Don't pass up the walleye in brown butter. Cooked and seasoned perfectly. And the waitstaff was very friendly.
Good solid beers and a nice room to sit and hang out. We'll stop in again when we are nearby............. that kinda says it all.
We were visiting the Dunes National Park and highly recommend this place!! The ambiance of the restaurant is great. Our server was great. The food and drinks were awesome! Don't skip over this place if you're visiting the Michigan City area!
$17 for a small pulled pork sandwich with 3 onion rings seems very expensive for Indiana. The service is not great. No one is wearing mask. We didn't feel safe. Overall, expensive and food is meh. But the establishment is nice.
The food was absolutely delicious. Seven adults and we all loved our food. The pub fries were fluffy and crispy. The staff was very nice and the food came out very quickly. Definitely would recommend if you haven’t tried them yet.
WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!!!!!! I have never had so many employees try to convince us NOT to wait or order. The wait was actually the best part of our night. We had an easy check in and an area for the kids to play. The wait was relatively fast. The real problem came when we actually got our food. We ordered two kids meals, French onion soup, Pierogies, and a sandwich. We were warned about possible rain and we accepted the possible complication that we would not be seated in the indoor seating area if it were to rain. So despite a third person trying to talk us out of ordering…we placed our order and hoped for the best. When our food came our waitress gave us the check in case the weather would take a turn for the worse. My husband handed her our card and when she returned he noticed we didn’t have our soup. Our waitress quickly replied that they ran out of the soup and apologized, however we were charged for it. She went to try to remedy the situation and seemed to have talked to a manager. She came back to quip that they in fact will have our soup out….and this was of course when we were all done with our meals. Before we could talk or process what she said she was off. 5-10 minutes later she came out and produced a bowl of something…that would not be classified as soup. There was no liquid only a small island of bread on top of some dark dry onions with poorly melted cheese that looked Iike it was warmed in a microwave. I immediately said we were not going to eat that and she agreed that it must have been from the bottom of the pot. However….SHE DID NOT ATTEMPT TO REFUND THE SOUP! She came back and handed us the check. We told her that it was not acceptable to forget our soup (and by that time also forgot our last beer) try to pass off some left overs which we did not eat and then make us pay for it. She went back to her manager and in the end said she was unable to refund us as they can’t reverse a credit card. Me and my husband worked in the food service industry and it is insane to think she nor her manager knew how to reverse a credit card charge in the year 2021. To top the night off she came back to us with a soaking wet credit card receipt and said she couldn’t reprint a new one then proceeded to ask us to sign a blank piece of paper!!! Horribly unprofessional. We understand the service industry is horrifically understaffed during these times however I directly blame management who let this poor waitress hang and stare blankly, powerless to do the right thing. Shame on this establishment it is clear they don’t care about their patrons given the complete lack of professionalism or respect. Do yourself a favor and skip shoreline next time you want to support the local economy.
Good food and great beer. Busy place, make sure to get there early and your name on the list. Lots to select from. Love the beer labels, wish we could have picked up a few as t-shirts, keep asking maybe they'll print more :-) Nice staff, both indoor and outdoor seating, pet friend!!
Decided we had to try this place since it had such wonderful reviews, and it did not disappoint! We got the pretzel and scotch eggs to start, both were fantastic! My husband tried one of their stouts and loved it and I got the Sunny D, which was also great! I got their signature Mac for my main and holy crap was it good! My husband got the Beef Chow fun and not only was it a HUGE portion it was also delicious!! Kiddo loved the pretzel as well and enjoyed his chicken fingers with pup fries!!! Definitely will be back when we visit again!
Average chain like restaurant. Sraff was great but overwhelmed but we were in no hurry. Food seemed frozen nothing horrible but nothing to go back for. Beer was good. Glad to find a family place! Disappointed with reading all the great reviews.
My wife and I just enjoyed our first ever visit to Shoreline. She ordered the tenderloin sandwich and I had the Angus burger. This is a brewpub nestled into a converted industrial building with exposed brick walls, a handsome bar, and a laid back atmosphere. There is a large dining area indoors and an extremely nice, large outdoor area with a stage for live music. The pub is located in downtown Michigan City very near Lighthouse place, the outlet mall, and close to the municipal beach and harbor. We found the service excellent and the food top drawer. The menu is largely pub food but the variety is good, the preparation is excellent, and the presentation is inviting. There is an unusually long bourbon list for a brewpub with brands not normally seen even in expensive steakhouses, but the stars of Shoreline are their own beers. There is an extensive choice of beer on tap which, as the pub asserts, is all about Great Lakes water. I enjoyed Don't Panic, an English ale which transported me back to memories of 'Chicago beer'. The price structure is mid range. I am looking forward to a return visit and strongly commend Shoreline to anyone in the area.
Atmosphere. Service. Food. This is a really great stop along the lake. Recommended that you try off times as it will be busy. Everything is top notch. Well done!
Long time patron. Seeing lots of changes throughout the restaurants history. I have to say the larger and more popular they become the worse the food and service becomes as well. Just a huge disappointment. Everybody has off days but this was so so sad. I'll go back just out of convenience, but honestly my hopes are not up... Hey Sam...sort yourself out
We were excited to try Shoreline Brewery and Restaurant after seeing it last time in Michigan City. We were not disappointed. The appetizer we got was the soft pretzel with beer cheese. Wow. One of the best pretzels ever and the beer cheese was amazing! The pulled pork sandwichs were also fantastic as well. I enjoyed their styles and takes on the various beers I tried thought they were very well done. I only wish this place was closer to home as we would be regulars!
Some of the best food and service anywhere!Pizzas have the freshest ingredients, pierogis and the philly are to die for!Scott was an amazing waiter, very helpful!
Stopped here for dinner after a very long day. I ordered a special margarita and it was so good. Strong which I like. The pierogis were good. The fish tacos were meh. They have a large outdoor dining space, but I sat inside at the bar due to weather. I'm not a big beer drinker so I cant say anything about their brews. Was hoping for a cider option.
