Waited 50 minutes after ordering for our food. I understand being short staffed, but waiting almost an hour with no coffee refills is ridiculous. They need to forewarn people before you sit down and order, or maybe close a portion of your tables.

Went here with a couple of friends on a Tuesday morning. The decor and style of the restaurant is unique. I love the style of the entrance/exit as it looks like a hut. We got mozzarella sticks for an appetizer which were fine. My friends ordered a steak skillet and a hot dog for their daughter. They said their steak skillet was about average. I was not a fan of the fries that came with the hot dog AT ALL. I ordered eggs benedict which was good but came out lukewarm. The potatoes that came with my eggs benedict were very good. The service was about average and not very attentive. I will say the cost of the food is very fair. Overall, an average local place that seems to have quite a few of regulars.

Food and service have been great each time I've been in here. Nice "greasy spoon" family atmosphere and cool decor. ?

Great biscuits and gravy now I'm changing my review. Food is great but I'm a weekly customer well was, and now the front end lady ( who I think the owner is) has been rude to me the last 3 times I came. Then she would walk around and talk with people and smile. Then look at me and frown?I've never complained about a order. I'm a weekly customer? Did I do something wrong? Way to make customers feel great. Then someone walked in after I've been waiting 10 min. He got his food which was hasbrowns eggs toast sausage, before I got my Togo order which was only 1 order biscuits and gravy and a scrambled egg. Then I asked her and she said in a sarcastic tone I just bring food out .....

Food was decent. Served quickly. Had a heart attack when the bill came. 4 of us for breakfast totalled $77. We were charged for each item Individually instead of as a meal. Our bill was adjusted after we said something. Probably won't return.

Great small hometown Feel and restaurant. The breakfast is amazing and the customer service is 2nd to none. Visiting from Lafayette and have been here every morning of our stay! Great find!

Food and service was excellent. They ran out of corned beef though so I wasn't able to try the Reuben but the double bacon cheese burger was excellent.

We went here for more of a brunch while on vacation. Kind of a dated cafe but I think that's what we expected and it's not billed as fancy schmancy place. Meals took a little longer than most but we weren't in a hurry and they were very up front about the times. It's a small place, and we need to keep these places alive and well!

Absolutely loved the young man who claimed to be the "beverage guy". (Forgot his name) I could have sat and listened to him for hours...his super short stories about the history of his place in the station were heart warming. Service was great...food? The French toast was cold, hash browns 1/2 warm 1/2 cold, sausage burnt and dry. Toast and eggs were awesome but the people made up for that. A definite place to stop, unless you are starving LOL places like this are hard to find where the people are genuine

Service is the absolute worst. Can't comment on the food since I never got to order. The menu states food service may be slow but I just sat here for 56 minutes and didn't even get a refill on my coffee. Wasn't acknowledged when I came in the door, when a table was ready, our waitress only pointed at it without saying a word. I was asked for my drink which was coffee, she walked by my table about 5xs without even looking my way. 3 people seated after me had their order taken, were served and eating before I ever had an opportunity to order (same waitress). Needless to say, I'll never be back. Service is terrible.

Station 801 is a great place to eat if your ever in downtown Michigan City IN. One thing though, they close at 2pm. So if you want some biscuits and gravy, you better get there before closing time.

The service was great the portions were generous and we would definitely return for another wonderful meal. The big breakfast is definitely a great way to go!

The prices on the menu don't match the bill... Otherwise cute place with decent service and pretty good food.
