I've been working a project in Michigan City for a few months now. The true home cooking of the food at the Sugar Bowl is amazing. So far I've ate the food atleast 7 times. All 7 times have been awesome. Great food, great service. This is a must try for true home cooked food.

The owner and waitress were so kind, friendly, and funny. We really enjoyed being there and look forward to having another opportunity to come. The food was delicious, and the portions were big. The soup was especially good. They have a lot of different food options! The restaurant is clean and pretty/nice-looking. I highly recommend it. It was very fun.

We think you are all "Superstars!"We finally got to try this place. We have driven past many times but never stopped because the parking lot always looked packed. We didn't know there's additional parking in the back. Today was our lucky day! Our server Heather was so friendly and helpful. The food was great and priced well. Heather told us they feed you well. She was right!!The portion sizes were plentiful. I had country fried steak & my husband had the butchers skillet & asked to substitute Italian sausage for breakfast sausage and it was no problem. The owner came & talked with us. He was very nice. We were treated very well even though it was closing time. We were not rushed. We will definitely be back when traveling through. Thank you
