My overall rating is based mostly on the food, which is why you come in the first place. I think the food is pretty good and while I've only tried a small portion of the menu what I've had has been good to very good. It's prepared fresh to order, it's hot and the portions are large enough for most people.Unfortunately the service falls short. No one here acts as if they're glad you came. I've never seen any employee smile. They just go about their business and you can tell their main business is carry out because if you're dining in prepare to be treated as second class. You'll be waiting as they are constantly packing up to-go orders or on the phone taking orders. The phone is a priority over customers in the restaurant; if you've been waiting and the phone rings they are going to answer the phone first. Now once you're seated and they've taken your order the food comes out reasonably quick but no one will stop by your table after that to check on you. I've been here multiple times and it's always the same. The food and value are what keep me going back but the service is lacking unless you have plenty of patience.As for the restaurant itself, it's very basic and clean.

We moved to New Albany 3 years ago and haven't found a Chinese restaurant yet that we wanted to return to. China Bistro hit the mark on our new "go-to" Chinese restaurant.
The interior is impeccably clean, although usually not particularly busy so seating is not a problem. The exterior is unassuming and I like that about it. This restaurant is now at it's second location and it has lost nothing from it's first store(across the street), these folks understand quality at every level.I want to make particular note of the wonderful customer service provided by what I assume to be the daughter/granddaughter. She is exceptional.The food is OUTSTANDING! Egg rolls are top shelf, and no item I have ordered has been anything but high quality ingredients served piping hot and delicious. Literally never a complaint in the household. It is one of the best Chinese Restaurants I have dined at in 44yrs, and the only one still In business that I recommend eating at. I adore them for the very small, but monumental things they do that set them apart. Now, I must go as my order is nearly ready.Wheelchair accessibility: It is handicapped accessible.

My 1st time here. Ordered online before hand. I inquired about Soy Sauce and plastic ware? The little girl behind the counter said it's over there where it always is... I drove back home and realized half of my order was missing. I was so disappointed that I didn't even want to call or drive all the way back up there....
