This adamantly old-school Kroger is underrated! It's clearly on the smaller side and doesn't have the robust variety of the renovated State St location, but it works when you need the essentials. The throwback decor and friendly staff give it a wholesome feel that, yeaaaah, you'd never find at the kangaroo court of a Walmart down the street. This Kroger served me well in my IU Southeast days and I'd still recommend it to those passing through the neighborhood.

Kroger is your typical giant supermarket. It's a great place if you want to get everything possible all in one stop. The prices are fine. You'll find some items cheaper at other places and some you won't. For me, a grocery store is all about location. This store is not the one closest to me, so it's not my primary grocery store. If it were, it would be. But unless I move, it's just not going to snag the gold medal.

3.5 stars, rounded up. This Kroger is an old school smaller one from days gone by. It's the size of a grocery that many of us were accustomed to for many years, before everything became super-sized, with gargantuan inventories and endless selections.
