“I went to a Subway a few says ago and was pretty disappointed, but Subway is convenient. I decided I would try a different one. This subway was way better than my last experience. I wanted the cold chicken, and instead of telling me no, she said that it is recommended it get heated. I don't like it heated, and she was perfectly fine with it. She didn't try to argue like the last subway. Of course, the food was also delicious.”

I hadn't found any truly good and satisfying BBQ here in Indiana, 'til today.I was extremely impressed and smiling as I was greeted before I even reached the order/pickup window/door of Ben's BBQ Shack - Westfield (north suburb of Indy) on my first-ever visit today, for the online pre-order I placed Wednesday (they sell out every day they're open – Fri-Sat-Sun – carry-out only, although there are several picnic tables for fair-weather dining).As I walked up, a team member stepped out of the doorway, with a big smile, a genuinely welcoming attitude, and asked if I was picking up.I gave him my name. HIs face lit up as he seemed to know my order. I had included a message, in the special notes section of my online order, mentioning that this was my first time and that I didn't see an option to specify sauces, if there were any available. I wrote, "First time ordering. If there are side BBQ sauce options I missed, a sweet / medium-heat variety would be the best fit for us. Otherwise, smokey-and-delish-as-they're-served is what we're looking forward to trying. See y'all Friday! Cheers!" (the sauce I described IS available and, Oh My! ... so, so good.)He said, "So this is your first time here!""Yeah!" I smiled back ...He ducked inside and soon returned with my bagged order and added, "Ben threw in a sample of pulled pork for you to try."Then, "Ben" looked out the window and offered an enthusiastic, "Hey! Thanks, bud! Thanks a lot!" ... Although obviously busy in the midst of rush work as folks were lining up for walkup orders, they had time to express appreciation and inspire smiles with their guests.Ben and his team get it. They are sincerely welcoming as they actively engage with and serve their customers. My spouse, sister-in-law, and I opened a restaurant just over a year ago. We also know how rewarding it is to engage with guests and deliver a truly enjoyable experience; and we do our best to inspire our team to "get it" too.It was still warm when I got home to stash it for reheating, later, when my spouse arrives home from work ... but there was that unexpected sample of pulled pork calling out to me. I opened up the trays and was very happy to find that the brisket was a very GENEROUS 2 lbs ... and the sample of pulled pork that I expected to be bite-size or, perhaps, a slider-size serving ... was also very generous – enough for a couple full-size sandwiches, or four or five sliders, at least!Anyway, since there was such an abundance and no one else home to see ... I sampled a serving of the beef brisket ... and made myself two pulled pork sliders ... and suddenly found myself in smokey BBQ bliss! Just-right smokiness, perfectly juicy, beautiful to behold, and oh-so-savory to taste!Ben's BBQ Shack is likely to become a monthly ritual ... or at least my go-to when the smokey BBQ cravings hit hard.”

However, the service was a bit slow, which was the only downside to an otherwise enjoyable dining experience. Would definitely recommend for the tasty food, just be prepared for a leisurely meal.”

“My wife and I love Slapfish. It's has unique seafood that has great flavor. I've tried a couple of items on their menu and been happy every time. My wife has a gluten allergy and hasn't had an issue with the food -- she loves their Power Bowl. The only downside is it's a bit pricy for ordering at a register versus sitting down. “Four of us dined at Nyla's last night and it was fantastic! The wedge salads were very tasty as was the Mushroom Cream Soup (both came with the meal). The two of us that ordered the Chicken Milanese said it was delicious! Another in our party ordered the Bone-In Pork Chop and declared it to be fabulous! (the presentation was beautiful) I had the Sea Bass and it melted in my mouth...so delicious! The cauliflower risotto that came with the dish was such a nice surprise and a wonderful accompaniment to the Sea Bass. Outstanding food, outstanding service and outstanding atmosphere...they have it all!”

“We love the convenience of checking the app and seeing if my favorite cookies are available and then ordering through the app and just coming to pick up when it’s convenient. My favorite is the chocolate chip cookies which thankfully they have pretty much every day. So good!”

“Can’t even exaggerate how good this ice cream is. Handel’s ice cream is 7 out of 5 stars. The line can get long but it always goes fast thanks to the great service. A trip to Westfield ALWAYS includes a trip to Handel’s, no matter the time of year!”

“My husband and I have lived in Japan for 6 years (8 for him) and Kizuki has the most authentic flavors I have found yet stateside. Their ramen, chicken kaarage, their gyoza....it's all there. Top to bottom flavor that I have serious cravings for. I could only give four stars for atmosphere because it does become quite crowded and kind of noisy. I love Kizuki and hope they never leave!”

“Come to a spot that has a fun vibe! I was able to celebrate my birthday here and we had ten in our group. Found a booth with four chairs that fit all of us. Love the Sassafras Tea! I got the Amendment which was just a bit hotter than I expected. There is an ice cream shop attached that serves different types of shakes. Be prepared to get full! Two types of bbq sauce on a counter to place in cups to take to the table. A bit loud, but for the most part we could carry on a conversation. Fast and friendly service. When you walk in you order at the counter and then receive a receipt with your number and they will call when your order is ready. For dessert be sure to grab the homemade key lime pie in the cooler by the register! It's so good!! When it's warmer outside then they do have outdoor seating as well.”

“Visited LA Cafe on a busy Saturday night with a reservation. Other than parking being a huge challenge as the restaurant is located in Whitestown where no parking exists, the experience at the restaurant was nothing but flawless. Food was all prepared well. From the robs to the Prime Rib special all of our tables food came out exceeding expectations. Very casual atmosphere and comfortable setting. LA Cafe's varied menu is an excellent alternative to the chain restaurants to the south off the interstate. Well worth the slightly extra time needed to land a parking spot!”

“We just stumbled across this and tried it for dinner. It's a great 21+ pub with lots of TVs, good music, and great atmosphere. It's like The Friendly in Zionsville but newer, cleaner, and the tables are not as cramped. Our server was very friendly, offered good recommendations, and was pretty attentive. The menu is extensive! And they only have 1 freezer so much of the food is very fresh. Specials most nights. We went on a Tuesday and the special was a 10 oz steak, baked potato and a roll. Fridays special is fish and chips. 10 or 11 beers on tap. We love this local, non-chain, friendly restaurant. My wife and I think it will be our go-to spot. Highly recommend.”

“The sushi is outstanding. I eat sushi once a week and Chiba is now my new goto place for serval reasons. The bar area is in a separate building with a quaint seating area and a great vibe. The owner Keith is very involved with running the business and doing whatever is necessary from making drinks, taking orders and running plates. Keith is very personable and makes everyone feel welcome and appreciated. I highly recommend Chiba and don't miss the spicy tuna and spicy Salmon. Keith makes a mean Sazerac too. I will definitely be back!”

“I visited Upland for the first time 3 weeks ago and have came back several times. The number one reason I continuously come back is for Sarah. She is the bartender and is absolutely stellar. Her personality is absolutely amazing and her service is just as good. I also love the food and atmosphere. If you haven’t tried Upland, you’re in for a great time!”
