“We had the traditional bar food off the menu which was traditional bar food taste. I forgot to try the jalapeño ketchup. This is a really fun location as it has a lot of the fire dept history. The service was great, our waitress was super sweet.“
“Local bar, good service. Lots of regulars. Selection of food smaller then other local bars but good. Nothing new or updated about this place but that's not a bad thing. Very casual atmosphere. Several TVs for watching sports. Plenty of seats at the bar, and several tables. No one under 21 allowed. Full bar.“
“Really great hole-in-the-wall vibe. Precisely what we were looking for at the time. Met some new friends. Had fun engaging with the patrons and learned some great local history. I feel like everyone would be welcomed here. Didn’t try any food.“
“Was visiting my daughter out in college at ND and she couldn't wait to take us here. Food was amazing and authentic. My husband lived in Liberia for a season and we have many friends from Africa, one who joined us for this meal.We all enjoyed immensely the various dishes we chose. I enjoyed the oxtail and nsima. The other members of our party enjoyed the jerk and various other things on the menu.My apologies for the picture. I wasn't planning on doing a review. The photo was cut from a selfie we took. The empty plates proof that we enjoyed our food immensely. My only regret is I couldn't figure out how to get one of those cute little grubhub robots to get an order back to Denver for me.I highly recommend this place, whether you are from Africa, enjoy African fare, or are simply needing the challenge to try something exciting, yummy and new!“
“Stopped in for lunch with. Local customer. Didn't know what to expect. Simeri's is a local dive bar with exceptional food. Started with tomato beef soup. Wish I had gotten a full bowl, it was delicious. Followed that up w/ a chef salad that was filling and full of fresh veggies. My colleagues had the ham and scalloped potato's, breaded pork tenderloin sandwich (looked amazing) and the blue cheese chicken pecan salad. Everyone was very satisfied with their food. The waitress/ bartender/ possible owner couldn't have been more accommodating. A real hidden gem. Can't wait to come back!“
“A beautiful place to go enjoy your best day!!! I saw more smiles in my 3 hours while enjoying drag brunch than I see in a week! The happiness here is contagious! About environment!!! Feel the love here !Kid-friendliness: Any age will enjoy this environment and feel a sense of belonging!“
“I visited my home of Michiana & brought my partner to Cheers b/c I love seeing the progress they’ve made over the past few years—& when they made some new wings, I’m like, “put me in, Coach.” I also used to live up the road when it was under former ownership. I love them, and continuously send them love, but I gotta tell you, THIS is exciting & I have my own spots in St Louis & Jax, FL lol.We got the sweet n’ spicy and the Aunt Matilda. I was on the fence on getting others due to familiarity & craving what I know, but after hearing about the story of Aunt Matilda sauce & the flavors, I dove into the saucy experience.Aunt Matilda was a blend of many savory flavors and enough sweet & ingredients to balance it all out.Sweet n’ Spicy. Loved them & super snackable—even when I was full, I wanted to continue to eating both style of wings ?My partner & I wanted a little more spice on the sweet n spicy bc it was mostly sweet. She is not a spicy fan either. If I was at my house I would have added maybe red pepper flakes or something as a hint of, “oh hey there, heat.”That said, these are the best wings I’ve had at any bar in the area. I’m stoked to visit again when I am in town & try all of the flavors. If I lived here, I’d be getting these, in bulk, for every game & every function that needs some snacks. It totally works as dinner too. EAT THESE lol.I’ve had wings in various states & these are ?P.S. spirits & beer selection ?“
“The food is absolutely delicious. We stumbled in one day looking for a good place to eat not far from home and also a place that was locally owned, not a chain. We were pleased to find that the owner is a chef who bought the pub so he could spend more time with family. He is there and does prep and cooking of many made in the kitchen items such as homemade ketchup, pickles, soups and one of the best pork tenderloin sandwiches I've ever had , bluegill fish. Well the list goes on. It kinda has that cheers ambiance. Staff is great and don't be surprised if you see the chef who is delightful. This is definitely a favorite. You should try it . It will be one of your favorites too.“
