For a place that prides itself in steakburgers (and milkshakes) you would think the burgers would come out hot. Nope. My dad got a steakburger and it was cold as well as greasy. Also, the fries were cold as well. Almost like they were just taken out of the freezer early in the morning and left to thaw out. Steak and shake has changed a lot over the years.We placed the order on a kiosk. The food did get delivered. But drinks, napkins - we did ourselves. And then we bussed our own table.It's fine but it's not like it used to be.

I hadn't been to a Steak 'n Shake in a few years. They were closing stores all around our area. While traveling we decided to have a familiar favorite. What we got was a shadow of what it used to be. You order on a tablet, you get your own drink, use plastic forks to eat out of a paper covered basket, clear your own table, and for all that work they didn't do for you the computer asks for a tip.
