I’ve been barbecue comparison dining for about a year. This is the best I’ve found in NWI out of six places so far. And I’ve been back to this one a couple more times. The cornbread and coleslaw were excellent too. Really good.There’s only a few tables. So you’re not going there for the ambience, just for the food.
Prime Smoked Meats definitely knows how to smoke a brisket. The meat was flavorful and had a smoke flavor. The sidewinder fries had good seasoning and a great crunch. Dipping in liquid gold (cheese sauce) was a nice touch. The coleslaw had a good flavor and good crunch. White bread, pickles, and onions are available on the side. Delicious smoked meats. Had the Blue Velvet, my daughter had the Jammin Piggy, sides were coles slaw and tater tots, everything was terrific. Could not finish the sandwiches, enough for my daughter to bring home for dinner. Very generous portions. Cannot wait to get back to Valparaiso to visit PSM!
