“Nice option with some authentic choices. Not at all crowded. Well lit, large dining area with no booths. We were served promptly. Some domestic beer choices. Pad Thai had very thick noodles, not my favorite. Mild taste even with spices. Appetizer was adequate. I will go back.“
“First time coming here. The food is fabulous, our server, not impressed. We haven’t been checked on once. Still in restaurant while I’m writing this. Just waiting, waiting for our check. Will try again and hopefully have a different server.“
“We used to love this place we have a big family so we always had to order quite a bit, we were so happy when we realized they're open again but haven't ordered yet because we're still trying to figure out what happened to the fried rice???“
“My 7 year old granddaughter wanted to come here. For years we’ve gone to two Chinese restaurants in Lawrence, and watched both go downhill. I was leery, but here we are, and the crab rangoons were amazing! Generals chicken tried to burn my mouth off-so good! But the fried rice stole the show-delish!!!! 10/10 will make this our one and only Lawrence Chinese food place.Kid-friendliness: My granddaughter loves it!“
“Well, bff suggested this place and I agreed. First, bff gave me the wrong directions ? but after she said "wrong directions" all was good! So I arrive and walk in. The place is kind of dark and I'm not sure what these murals are about (please clue me in and see photo). The server/host points you to a table and off you go! We're there for the lunch buffet. Your server will bring you a drink and explain how to fetch your own lunch. Arrive at the buffet and man, it's intimidating. Loads and loads of options (and quite frankly I'm not a fan of buffets because I'm a germaphobic) but I move on with a grimace. Mushrooms, bean sprouts, carrots, chicken, pork, Asian meatballs, spinach, zucchini, Tomatoes, lots of noodle choices too. Too many to mention but all the choices were fresh and I saw they were replenished with an employee who had gloves (yay). I load my bowl and set it on the Circular grill. Chef picks it up and tosses it on with a sizzle. Seriously, this guy moves so many dishes around on the wheel it's amazing! When yours is done, it's plated and off you go! There are many, many sauces to choose from. I chose a "burn the village" which apparently would make me want a fire extinguisher. I'm a hot-n-heimer so bring on the burn. It was fantastic. The buffet has a detailed menu as well as a helpful list of what sauces are mild to hot. Service is attentive so please, while it's buffet, tip well. Bathroom was a bit grotty. I'll definitely revisit!“
“The service was great - kind, quick, helpful! The restaurant was clean and cool. The food was hot and cooked well but quite bland. We went home and added sauces to each of the menu items we purchased. Don't be afraid to add more flavor, heat!“
“It’s so delicious ? It’s delicious and the portion is huge. I ordered a fish-flavored eggplant and a dry pot potato slices (I originally ordered the dry pot sausage but it was the wrong one, but it was super delicious) and I couldn’t finish it.The boss is super nice, fun to chat with, and the music is very tasteful.Delicious and served in large portions. I ordered an Eggplant w Garlic Sauce and a Spicy pot w Potatoes and Sliced Pork. I couldn’t even finish half of it.The owner is a kind lady and we had a great conversation. She has good taste in music too, I love her playlist.“
“I finally found the best panang curry in this little Midwestern suburb. The smell of the cafeteria and the takeout I ordered literally reminded me of home (Southeast Asia). Sorry no photos, I literally inhaled the dishes. The owners are a bit ornery, but just think of them as your always harried aunt and uncle.Dietary restrictions: If you need gluten-free food, try their meals. Southeast Asian food, like Thai cuisine, are low in gluten; our culture isn't bread-heavy.“
“Friday night the fresh halibut special was really delicious, perfectly cooked and flavorful. The generous portion was served with collard greens and a light lemon ginger buttery sauce. We also shared the mussels in miso ginger soup with bing slices. Bing is a crisp flat bread ... perfect with the soup. I think fries would go well with the mussels, but we couldn't resist the dumplings with hot chili sauce. So good! Looking forward to future seafood specials!“
