I love this locally owned cafe, they make their own green chili and salsa…honest to god it’s so tasty. They have lots of options but I always go for the basic Farmer’s breakfast which reminds me of my time in Central America: black beans, rice, eggs, salsa, tortillas…staple for breakfast and or lunch. Their specialty coffee drink barraquito is insanely good. Great service, super friendly staff and owners.
The food isn't bad by any means. But everything else about this restaurant is better than the food.They used to have black bean hummus many, many years ago. I vote for bringing that back. I have tried the Arapes and several of their omelets. They cook like Karen. No seasoning. I have to pepper everything on my plate. Their coffee offerings are fun and rich. Coffee ice cubes! I just wanted to start with that. I only got coffee, so I can't speak to the food but, the coffee was great. I got the cold pressed iced coffee and, was surprised when I got down to the ice to find, they use coffee ice cubes. It's the little things, I love it.
