We were in Lawrence recently and had a chance to try Gold Medal Barbecue. It was fabulous! I ordered the silver medal plate with pulled chicken, southern green beans and the sweet potatoes. My husband had the gold medal plate with pulled chicken, pulled pork, the green beans and the Mac and cheese. We both knew as soon as we saw our plates that leftovers were in our future. We tried this new BBQ place today for lunch and we’re glad we did! The half rack of ribs, and a side of slaw and one of beans was perfect for the two of us! Unique BBQ sauce and plenty of it! Can wait to go back and try the brisket, chicken, pulled pork, savory beignets and more.

If you are looking for BBQ in Lawrence and you don't go to this place you are missing out!! Came here while visiting KU and everything was fantastic! We even met the inner Kyle a gold medal Olympian This will be a staple for us if my son goes to school here!
