“So this was a handy location for the four of us to get lunch. It's a nice pub with good parking and location. We were there close to lunch so were hoping to get a seat. Place was not busy at all... A little worrisome but place was friendly and service was good. Typical bar selections... Some with Aussie names. The burger was good. The chicken salad was good... And our modifications were all followed. The fish and chips were crispy with a good flavor and my wife was thrilled it wasn't beer batter. I had the pork tenderloin which was prepped just like my wife prefers them... Thin and juicy. My onion rings were also crunchy and hot. I was surprised by the lack of an Aussie beer. But I like Blue Moon and it's ok without an orange. Prices were reasonable. This is close to my brother-in-law's house and would make a great place to gather. If it was close to my house it'd been on regular rotation as we were well satisfied.“

We made plans to return for fight nights and Chiefs games, impressed by the atmosphere. Our meals, a Philly sandwich and a Beef’N Tater sandwich with fries, were served with the expected attention to detail, complementing the pub's vibe. “Fun Bar & Grill. We came for the 1/2 price appetizer, happy hour special, and we were not disappointed. Ordered the fried mushrooms and fried pickle spears. Both were cooked perfectly, hot out of the fryer, and delicious. The sauces are also really good, truffle aoli and buttermilk ranch. The best part, though, was the very large mushrooms. We will go back for them again and again. Service was stellar!“

After driving around OP, then Olathe, for nearly 2 hours, trying to find a place to SIT and eat, we begged the manager at Vader’s to help us out. (By me, I mean myself, my wife, and our 3 year old, one year old, and 4 week old). The 4 week old was ready to nurse and my wife really needed a place to sit… it had been a day for us.I sincerely wish to apologize to the party who was disturbed by us. We thought they may understand our need and consider giving us the courtesy. Had they stayed around, I would have gladly payed their bill in exchange for their kindness. However, they left so abruptly that I wasn’t even given the chance to offer that accommodation.EDIT: There were plenty of high top tables and bar seats available, but only one large table to accommodate a family. This party of 2 was asked if they would consider moving from the large table to a smaller table, but not asked to leave.Perhaps I am old fashioned, but I am appalled of the knee-jerk reaction of this customer to leave without tipping, and then make libelous claims about the encounter on Google. It was a situation, but we didn’t expect that it would offend them so egregiously.On principle, I will support this business by patronage and word of mouth as long as I can. “Great little place with a long history in KC. I met a friend there for happy hour at 3 o'clock. We wanted to meet somewhere quiet for an informal business meeting, and he chose here. I enjoyed my specially priced margaritas he enjoyed a nice white wine. The food was ok. We only had appetizers. But I need to return for a meal. They have some good-looking daily specials l really want to try. If you're looking for a great place where the locals hang out with good drinks and tasty food, this is definitely that.“

I'm not a regular there but had no issues getting service and felt welcomed in by others around me.
