Take a look at our favorite Lenexa Mexican restaurants.
“This place is perfect in every way. They have the best chips and salsa of any Mexican Restaurants when me and my friends go we end up getting like 6 plates of chips and at least 3 refills of salsa each. The food is also fire the pork carnitas are Lightning in a bottle an amazing explosion of Flavor the carnitas tend to explode all over my hands, but that’s a me issue. Their pricing is also very good. I would recommend this place to all who are looking for great Mexican food!“
“Our server brought chips and mild salsa and asked if we wanted hot salsa, which we both wanted. Both were flavorful, the hot was not too hot to handle. Just right. I had the lunch sized cheese and onion enchiladas($7.99). They were served with rice and thin cut lettuce. I would order them again. It was nice to have lunch sized portions on the menu!“
“Visited after looking for something different when it comes to brunch! We ordered tostadas, the breakfast tacos, and a chorizo sandwich. Everything was delicious and the service was great! We tried dessert as well, and were very impressed. We will be back!“
“I kept forgetting to leave this review. Managing to before they move locations at least.Red Kitchen has been a staple of my diet for about four years now. I've been going since they were just a stall in the Public Market. Alejandra, the owner, is incredibly nice. Scantly had any negative experience at all.Yummy breakfast burritos, yummy tacos, yummy toastadas.Incidentally I've only tried their tamales once (because the owner gave me one for free!) -- the item that made Red Kitchen popular. But it was tasty!Just nice, comfortable food.I see some reviews complain about the fact Red Kitchen uses pre-made tortillas for many menu items. I don't find that to be a problem:- Firstly, the pork fat tortillas seem to be made by another local business in Kansas City.- Secondly, it's no more out of the ordinary to me than Joe's BBQ using plain white bread for pulled pork sandwiches. No one ever complains about that. The star of the show is the meat & other filling, not the "bread."I also see at least one review complain that they aren't "authentic"? If she's not busy, talk to Alejandra even for a second. That's all the proof you need that she strives to make "the real deal."“
“Mmmmmm—-Nothing!!!! Jimmy our so called server, lousy service, forgetfulness on two people drinks , my side of masa, except for the forgetful what are you drinking visit that was it besides original food delivered to table! He was sitting across room with other employees on his phones! He thought he ran my card to pay—Nope Sat for 20 almost closing. So not major crowds if any at 1000–1100pm Very disappointed We will stick with Mi Ranchito Olathe! Sorry y’all blew it!“
“El Toro Loco catered our wedding in Feb. 2024 and they were outstanding! Eugenio, the owner, personally connected with my husband and I several times prior to the wedding and worked with us to create a taco buffet with many options for an affordable price. He went above and beyond by going out of his way even to stay during the reception to make sure that the food was taken care of along with bringing in some other employees to ensure a smooth dining experience (out of the kindness of his heart). Everyone commented how wonderful the food was all night! This was their first wedding that they have catered, but no one would have known! If you are considering a Mexican restaurant for your event, choose EL TORO LOCO!“
“William P is literally the most kind hearted person I have met so sweet always makes sure to take the time to tell you to have a wonderful day and to be careful super sweet person he always makes sure everything is correct thank you William“
“We came here for the Pupusas, a favorite Salvadoran dish! They had so many filling options for the Pupusas and they were all delicious! Make sure to ask for the salsas to go with, but beware, they pack some HEAT! Service was very nice and the atmosphere quite festive!“
